I bought the bike (2016 ES) with Arrow headers and Yoshimura can. Breathes nicey, but it's just too damn loud for me. I've repacked the can, but it didn't really help that much. Anybody have a mod they can suggest to quiet that thing down? I'd consider trading it for a stock or different, quieter aftermarket muffler. I like a little noise, but I'm not a Harley rider, and don't have a need to wake up an entire forest when meandering through dirt and fire roads. Thanks.

If you haven’t already I recommend taking a couple stock Tenere for a test ride, I believe you will be surprised to learn that other than extra noise your loud aftermarket pipes do next to nothing and maybe are even causing horse power loss.

But if you compare the weight difference from stock anchor ,it’s definitely worth it.

Agreed.

As for weight, it always throws me to get on a basic Tenere without bars, skid plate, etc. Sooo much lighter feeling.
But if you add any of those, the muffler won't make much change in handling.

I’ll trade you my stock muffler off 2016 es, if you haven’t already rectified the situation.

I learned my lessons with the noise of after market exhaust. And, you're right, the HP returns just aren't worth the investment; to me. Maybe, if I was racing, or she was a sport bike, weight would be a concern; she still FEELS light to me.

the cheapest, to keep maintaining the Yoshi, is to change the Arrow Headers for oem headers, the cat, will reduce the noise a lot
