Leak of oil out of the pumpkin. YES fixed it so not sure what all they replaced.
Just renewed mine for two years. About the same cost as the real diff deals that were leaking and covered.
Probably just the seal. Sometimes they go.Leak of oil out of the pumpkin. YES fixed it so not sure what all they replaced.
I just looked at my "YES" warranty card, and it expired back in Feb. Forgot about when it was expiring. Oh well, it is a Yamaha.Yamaha has been sending out offers to extend the 4 year YES another 1 or 2 years. I got mine when I had maybe 6 months left on a 4 year YES plan. Once you have the card, you can call D&H and they can verify eligibility and give you a price on adding more years.
You may or may not be in the system for this now. D&H asked me for the verification number or something like that off the card I got from Yamaha. They may be able to look up your VIN in the YES system and see if you are eligible.
Edit; I'd wait until you are under the one year point to worry about it.
Not horrible. Was under $500. I paid just over $500 for the last one from the local to me dealer. Threw them a bone since they tried to get as close to D&H as they could.I got the 4 year plan for $691. Deal?

I got a 4 year YES warranty from D&H back in 2015 when I bought my bike for less than $400.00.D&H cycles has a great price, but you have to call.
I put a curse on the dealer that ripped me off on YES. I canceled and got my money back but not without hassle. It burnt down the other day. Moral; don’t screw customers with powers. When I bought my bike, the dealer wanted $900 for the 4 year YES. I showed them what D&H would charge, and they matched it.
Anyone can add the YES warranty for 12 to 48 months as long as the bike is still covered under the original 12 month factory warranty and in their name.Anybody know if the original owner is the only one who can purchase the Y.E.S.? If my bike sells before the 1 year warranty is up, can the new owner purchase the extended warranty? Thanks.
Yamaha warranty would actually be useless for a USA bike while in Canada. Hate to spend another $389 but also hate the thought of being sorry I didn’t buy it later. You're kidding? You have a Gen I bike and are heading to Inuvik hopefully in the future? Never mind that it's fully transferable too, so a huge perk to the future buyer if you decide to sell in the next say, three years. When I sold my '12 with 109k, it still had around a year of YES left on it. Nice for the new owner, just in case. It was a great deal anyway, but still, that may have helped push him over the edge to buy.
Unless you have a catastrophic failure, you might be able to limp it into Fairbanks. Just depends on what happens where. Dealerships vary, but yes, Yamaha Canada doesn't generally honor Yamaha US warranties.Yamaha warranty would actually be useless for a USA bike while in Canada. That $389 spread over the 4 years is pretty cheap insurance. Even a very minor repair would certainly cost you more than that at dealer labor and parts prices. I have the 4 year YES warranty on my S10 and recently bought one for my F150 and my wife's Subaru. These late model vehicles are very complicated and expensive to repair.Have about 1 week left on the original factory warranty, called D&H and the lady said $389 for the 4 year extension, not sure what I’m going to do yet.
