I wanted the Yamaha tank bag because I thought it would be the best. I tried one but it was a PITA compared to my Motodry I already had from a previous bike. Only attached by magnets, but lots of them and on side flaps too. Attached water cover. Three external pockets plus map pouch. Etc etc etc

I can't find any pictures of the inside of the thing. Is there a pocket on the inside of the lid, any compartments or dividers? It looks plenty big enough to hold an extra face shield, right?

Thanks.

There's a zippered compartment on the inside of the lid (separate from the zipper on the outside for inserting maps. And the clip-on bag on the rear. That's the extent of the compartmentalization. There's also an expanding panel around the perimeter of the lid which expands the main compartment upwards by about 3". Final storage feature are the bungees on both sides which you can stuff some soft goods... sometimes I use this space to hold odds/ends for the trek up to the hotel room.

Haven't put a faceshield in the thing, but its a pretty big bag (especially expanded), so I would think it would fit.

Got mine second hand but it's in new condition. It didn't come with any documentation. Anyone know what the two small zippers inside on the "floor" are for?

Count me in as a big fan of the OEM bag. It fits and stays in place. Looks good etc. etc.

We like ours except its been attacked by the sun like me ;D Only use the clip on the front and the Mag........no straps.............not needed for the riding I have done so far. ::022::

If we leave the bike and go inside to eat and can't see the bike or leave for an extended time I just throw all the important stuff in in it, grab it and take it with us. Works great. ::008::
