Interesting pic, what make or kind of tail plate is this. How much more surface area is gained?

That appears to be an AltRider part. It's not really larger than stock, but the aluminum is stronger than the OEM plastic and the AltRider part offers more attachment points. LINK Find a Canadian AltRider dealer and check it out.

If you want space, get a Happy Trails (I think its about 12x14". With the riser you get a real nice tool cubby.

The aluminum rack on mine is a Givi. It is much more robust than the stock one. It has the quick mounts for the Givi top box.

I did add Givi top box mounts to the HT. Also added a back door to lock the tools in. Not very elegant but effective. The OEM rack did not handle the Givi top box.

Grab. A pipe (slightly elevated) carrying water from a lake to this hydro electric generator. View attachment 55826
Hmmmm, exciting, where is this?
I saw a wild Turkey run across the highway today on my way to Port Dover. A motorcycle ahead of me aimed for the turkey and the turkey reversed direction and ran away. That's about the only excitement of my day. Port Dover, Canada was very very busy today with 100's of motorcycles about the town.
I didn't see any Teneres, a little disappointing.
A few FJR's, lots of Harleys along with several other bikes.

The generating station is near Beaver Valley, the pipe brings water from Eugenia Lake 590 feet above. It's over 100 years old and the tallest 'head' of water used in Ontario.
Ok cool, about 1 1/2 hours north of Stratford
Definitely on my bucket list of places to visit.
Are you close to Port Dover??

We have had motorcycles EVERYWHERE this week which had something to do with this little event called Rolling Thunder:

Yesterday and today have been LOOONG processions of bikes leaving DC.

Saturday a fair number of them found their way up here on the mountain. We normally have bikes going by all weekend, but the Harley parade on Saturday was considerably longer than usual.

As our friend DCStrom once found out , there will be Hell to pay when you find yourself in High Water going straight through this crossing, Cost him hours ripping apart the bike to get to the spark plugs. The trick is to ride along the far side shore for a while then cut across.

Next tag... a tree down by the side of the road. The bigger the better.

It was a big tree. I'm not expecting the next one to be this big.

Let me guess - You rolled the bike downhill from home to get the photo?

We definitely got hammered by the little tornado Thursday. There's half a tree still down two doors up the hill from me.

That's way to close for comfort. Glad you're not reporting worse damage.

Surprisingly, I did not find any good photos of water down hill from me. I expected to, but water levels appeared mostly normal. I just ended up at the water crossing that always makes me think of Trevor.
