Welcome on, elemententime from LI. I think I missed you the first time around. Welcome to the Forum. Maybe post under Member Intros so we can all find you. Now, I have a set of those three cylinders that I won't use, and you're welcome to them. I do live in Canada eh? and you might want to wait for someone else closer to home. Shipping will be a bit more than if from the U. S. How about you email me at hollywolly1@mac.com and we'll sort it out. ::004:: to the Forum. R ::022::

Old thread, I just picked up a 2013 S10 with a set of the OEM panniers w/o locks and need a set. Anyone out there still have a spare set to sell?

Thanks

And, you've checked under your seat to make sure you don't already them? That would be MY luck.

Maybe I should look there. I just picked this 2013 up without panniers last weekend and the boxes came from a 2012 the guy had, so maybe there are some keys still.under there after all these years. Are they obvious or tucked away somewhere?

Mine were siting in the "tray" thing, under the seat. I would have never thought of looking there, but I had a good salesman.

I'm not so lucky, but it is a 7 year old bike. Never had panniers, but I guess a previous owner removed them. 7 years old but less than 6k miles on the clock.

I should have a set. I have had 2 new S10's and never used the lock set on either of them. They will be keyed to the original ignition keys, but you should be able to get them re-keyed by a locksmith. You can have them for the price of postage. I will let you know later today.

Thanks. Looking forward to your reply. You wouldn't happen to have a spare key your could send along, or have one cut. Some said an ilco x254 blank works for this; shorter key that will work for tank and boxes, but not ignition. Be glad to pay you for the trouble. If not, I'll be grateful regardless.

Ok, what I found in my spares are 3 lock cylinders. However, 2 are a match and 1 is for a different key. A while back we used 2 for a friend's 2012 that he was selling and switching bags and the other is one from my 2014. So, if you want them you can have them and should be able to take them to a locksmith and have them keyed alike and a key made. A bit of a hassle, but you can have them if you want them. They would fit in a small Priority Mail box, so about $8 to mail them to you.

Just talked to locksmith. Going to cost more to rekey than just order new set, so I guess I'll go that route. Thanks for trying to help.
