Hi All,

From another thread I've learnt that 23P-854A3-00-00 are old, and 2BS-854A3-00-00 are new.

I've got a few questions,

Is the only difference Halogen vs LED?

Will the older models fit a gen 2 bike?

Is there any appreciable difference in their ability to light the road / draw on the battery?

Cheers,

Not sure about the light output, but the newer LED lamps only draw 3W each, so definitely a lighter load on the ignition system.

I have the PIAA LP530 Ion yellow fogs which are "SAE compliant", and for some reason run 8.5 watts per lamp. All the other LP530's, driving, fog, even the "non SAE compliant Ion yellow fogs" run 3 watts per lamp. At least that is what it says on their site. Anyway, if you go that route, make sure you get the kit designed for motorcycles with waterproof switch exc. They all fit the Yamaha under headlamp brackets.

Hi there, sorry about bumping an old topic.
Somebody converted these old oem fog lights 23P-854A3-00 from halogen to led ?
you can just take the halogen bulb out and put a led bulb in easy enough weather its better don,t know but swopping bulbs is easy on the older gen 1 lamps
