Or she will be after I pay off the balance. :) This morning I made a death-defying trip from Lincoln, Nebraska to Marne, Iowa in the snow and sleet. Somehow this little village off of I-80 is home to a successful Triumph and Royal Enfield dealer. They took as a trade-in a red '15 S10 ES. It was getting to be a bit much for an elderly gent and his wife. The guy took meticulous care of it- it looks near new. Came with OEM cases, wind wings, a nice Yam tankbag, a Peribellum windshield, and a skid plate not yet installed. I walked in and she was in the middle of the little showroom surrounded by Royal Enfields. I knew from the Cycle Trader listing that she was minty, and she was. A check is holding her til February. Congrats - 3 yrs old & it looks like new.
Not sure about the size of that screen though; it's huge, leaning towards the 'barn door', which can become a problem cross winds. I guess it depends on your height & personal taste. It might be worth seeing if the previous owner has the OE available though.

Banderboy, Nice bike!
Baxter Cycle is great , Did you check out the back room?
I like stopping in and need to go to their campout someday.
I was going to check out that room, but I got stopped at the wall of fame. I wish I had taken a picture of it- the entire wall of the hallway was covered with photos of old bikes. I asked Jeremy, and he said that they were all bikes which had passed through Baxter's. There's going to be some sort of activity in February. I think I may swing in if the roads are ok. When I went Saturday, to make my downpayment, they were pretty bad.

The plan is to get a MadStad bracket, and go from there. It doesn't look as huge in real life.

Congratulations very nice !!! While sitting on it can you easily look over the top of the windshield ? To me the windshield looks like it should work perfect !

Seems ok. I'm going to reserve judgment until after I install a MadStad bracket.

Good for you! My sympathies go out to you for having to wait until February to ride her. It's like knowing what you're getting for Christmas before Halloween. :)

That smoke Parabellum shield looks nice, I'd be interested in how you like the shield in particular, I know you'll love the bike.

The roads and the temps around here (Nebraska) will be shitty until at least the end of Feb, so I'll just let the dealer store it for me. But it'll be on the road as soon as possible.

As soon as I've put some seat time in I'll be posting a full report. I can't wait :). No more of just reading about other people's rides.

I went to boot camp in Great Lakes IL. Got off of the bus in March, and there was snow on the ground. I bitch about our summers, but our winters are not that bad. Cold front came through today; we'll be in the mid-50s.
