Thanks, I love them!!! They are THE best!
Regards
I have one and even though still a little heavy for a true off road20210828_111824.jpg20210828_121250.jpg bike its certainly easier to take off road than my 1200 ... with my limited skills anyway.
Mine has two Black Widow cans on and sounds great ... though the pops and bangs are a little excessive sometimes but I smile a lot when it happens
Will sit on 70 - 75 all day long but that's when I tend to notice the vibes through the pegs the most but its fine really.
Loads of character, fun to ride and with my air hawk then its comfy.
I tend to worry less about scratches, roughing it than when on my 1200 as I was always fretting about keeping it pristine ... I love mine.

I always thought the T-7 was a new design. Man, was I wrong. It's obvious that the T-7 is just an updated 660. But, we never got the 660, which meant that hadn't ever seen one. I would have gotten a 660 instead of the KLR.

Mine is just a copy of yours, and also you mention you also have a 1200, so do I!!
Also I do have the same filling that the 1200 is to heave for me too, specially due the weight and my capabilities, as of today I have not taken the 660 to off-road, but hop soon I will.

I noticed that this bike vibrates and likes to go avobe 3000 rpms. Can you share your experience with the engine vibration! I feel it vibrates much more than the 1200.

Regards.

Hi, you will be fine off road as long as its not too extreme I guess.
I have just sold my 1200 as I can do nearly everything I want on the 660 but if I change my mind then I will buy another S10 in a heartbeat.
The 660 will vibrate more as its a single cylinder thumper really and the vibrations are not as well damped as the 1200 or of the same nature.
I feel it through the footpegs only ... handlebars are fine, seat is fine but there is a vibration through the footpegs when I get above 60-65mph I find ... but not too much to spoil the ride at all. I might look to see if there are any different pegs that offer better damping but not really bothered either way.
Enjoy your adventures ;)
