I think it's this one...

I have a question about the actual socket <> device cable.
With the position of the OE socket (upgraded or original) is there a risk of water ingress when a cable is in use?
Anyone know if there is a gaiter that could be added to your preferred cable that would cover over the USB socket when in use. The dust cap is fine when not in use obviously.

I have not found the right keywords in good ol' google, and if someone already has something please share :)

Yes. That is it !!!! Thanks, I could not find that !

I’ve had no issue with water and still works 100%. Charges the phone fast and totally happy. If one day I have an issue and stops working, I’ll just get another. They are really inexpensive.

Now that’s a great idea! Is it a straight replacement for the OEM socket or do you need to modify anything?

I mounted mine on my Dash Panel.
It would fit the hole for the OEM power-socket, but I am unsure if there is enough room to open the cover fully?
I intended to keep the OEM power port, so I didn't consider putting it there.
I would have to check once i get home?

OK. I took some pictures.
There is not enough room to mount it in the OEM location (you wouldn't be able to open it)

The other socket is an SAE-connector to plug in my Battery-Maintainer, etc............. It is connected directly to the Battery with a 10-amp fuse.

Ah yes, I see what you mean. I don’t have a dash panel so that option is not open to me
