Just made it home from work on the George Bush Tollway, was going 85 before I knew it. This bike is going to be fun.

Knew it was going to be hot and it didn't disappoint.

I saw 117 yesterday heading over from Carrollton to Richardson to pick up my lic plates... It wasn't too bad, it only 'felt' like 101.

Keep in mind the speedo is a liar. However, it will spin up to one hundred very easy as well.

When I picked mine up, I was (I thought) putting along a back road at about 50-55, looked down and it said 75. Even with the liar speedo, it was still doing 65-68, and it felt like a lot less.

You're right: it doesn't disappoint...

You should try it on curvy mountain roads! Thinks its a sport bike. My chicken strips are only about 1/2 inch wide on the back, and I only have 450 miles on it. (raining the past few days here, along with golf ball sized hail)

I think that the temperature reading is taken at the intake, so engine heat will affect accuracy.

It may on the S10 but on my other Yamahas with air temp gauges, they're within 1 degree or so. I did see 115 on mine bringing it home Tuesday. Runs a little hot compared to the R1's, about 10~15 degrees more water temp. I saw 200 ~220 when in a little traffic and it showed 185 or so when running on the highway, but it's 105+ today so it's hard to say. Probably will do better as it loosens up. Gearing is great, first 4 get it going pretty good and it still pulls hard in 5th and 6th. I love how the suspension deals with bad road surfaces.

I love the suspention aswell. As all of you Dallas Ftworth guys know there is a ton of construction. They added this new 'speed bump' deal across the road. I was doing about 30. On the other street bike I would have been like O' crap. On the ST it was just that, a little bump.
Gowd I love this bike allready !!!!!!! :p
I'm ready to get to building some parts. Woooohooooo
