My rear pads were at 0mm at 40k km, replaced with EBC FA319-2HH which still look great at 70k km's. To be fair, I bought the bike at 30k km's.

Front pads are still original, though getting near the end of their life and there is a lip on the rotors. This is my 3rd Yamaha with these same front calipers, on the previous two, front pads wore out at about 50k km's. Replaced with EBC HH pads which worked fine, a bit grabbier than OEM, and definitely harder on the rotors. I think I'll stick to OEM for the fronts when they are due.

The initial bite from EBCs are why they get good reviews. But having initial bite is no good if you then have to release pressure as the pads warm up. Braking should be a progressive action where you steadily increase pressure.

Not my experience at all on EBCHH fronts on the super Tenere. The braking action is progressive, consistent, giving more reward for more lever action.

Matt, how long did you stick with the EBC HH on the Super Tenere?

The independent rear function is one of the favorite things about her. Not a fan of linked brakes for slow riding. Yes, I understand about the rear activating with the front. It's just that the Tenere is the only bike that I've ridden that needs no additional rear pedal when the front is activated.
I disagree I think the linked brakes are great. I use the rear from 30mph and under.

Never used them in the S10 and won’t use them in any other bike. They are bargain basement budget pads dressed up by some clever marketing. Ask any racing team

Required: Must have an extra sense to just look at things and knowing if they are any good. Or parroting the latest trends you have gleaned of the internet. Especially on hot topics such as tires and oil.

Playing a triangle out-of-step in Kindergarten and detracting from the overall performance is nothing to be proud of my friend...

Ballisticexchris is not here to defend himself and still your butthurt bleating continues. I kept quiet whilst he was here and the nonstop poking with a stick was going on - I recall one "certain" member actually taking time out of their day to go out to their garage, arrange oil on their rack and in their panniers, taking photos and then downloading them with a puerile snipy comment to further antagonise. Pathetic really.

I didn’t say I hadn’t used them. I said I’d used them and they warped my disks. Whilst talking to Wal at PFM disks I asked about them. Wal knows the CEO of EBC and they started together. Wal supplies racing teams and his business is in the Isle of Man. Don’t take my word for it, give Wal a ring at PFM brakes and he will be happy to talk about disks and pads at length! Very knowledgeable guy

Well, since they have manufacturing plants in the UK and USA, maybe they just produce the shit pads for you guys in your UK plant.
I can't tell you how many road races I've won using EBC pads, and I can assure you, if they were shit, they wouldn't be on ALL my bikes.:)
