How ya doin with your new Tenere?
9,200 km so this season for me.
That's not a bad price. I have seen higher. The set I'm looking at are gently used, but should fit as they are off a Gen 2 bike.

9200, nice! Sounds like your down time has not slowed you down. I have just over 5000 on the Vic and just over 2600 on the S10. I will be leaving to Colorado around the 7th of Aug so that will pile up some klicks. Other than that no big miles for me. Won't be able to ride for a week as my wife and I will be up in Ottawa and I just got back the the big nickle, was there for a few days.
If you can picked up a used set I would totally go for that, no question.
Got some soft bags on it now so looking forward to getting some use out of them.

Stay well...

My 13 came with winglets but I also did a test ride on a new 18 without winglets and noticed the extra wind pretty quick. So I kept the winglets from the 13 and installed them on my new 18, All I had to do was cut a couple inches off the front end and they fit perfectly. I used one of those air operated cutoff wheels for use on steel from Harbor Freight and they cut very nice and easy, I actually had to cut them off a couple times to get them to fit the way I wanted.
Ok, a 2013 would be a Gen 1 and if course our 2018's are Gen 2 bikes. Correct me if I'm wrong, Gen 2s began 2014?

Been thinking about making a defector for the radiator heat. My left leg gets extremely warm in the summer. Then flipping it over in the winter. Just haven't decided yet what to use.
Hmmmm. Just be sure a deflector doesn't interfere with the dissipation of heat from the engine. Your temperature guage will let you know.

Yes generation 2 began with the 2014 model year. Generation I winglets will fit on a generation 2 just fine if you cut a couple inches off the front, I am not the only one that has done this, I actually learned about it from many others on this board that had posted about doing it. The first generation winglets use three mounting holes, the second generation uses 2 mounting holes, the front hole has simply been eliminated on second generation winglets.

I'm just trying to move the air/heat farther out away from my left leg. It would mount to my alt rider crash bars. Just a small piece of curve metal or plastic should do the trick.

Thinking of buying a set of wings to deflect some wind blast
Opinions please
Do they work and are these effective?
Thanks

Those wings work great but if you live in a hot area it may work a little too much! Don't get me wrong, I love mine but there are times a little wind is a good thing.
