They are called well-nuts. With the screws removed you can just press them out and move them to the other holes. A little liquid soap makes it go easier and will rinse away, unlike using oil.

Thanks for the quick reply ! So you just press them through towards the rear of the bike ? I've never dealt with anything quite like this before.

No, you will be pulling them out towards the front of the bike. Buy 4 more if you are changing your windshield height frequently.

Thanks for the info ! So far I’m really liking the tall v Stream, it’s waaay quieter . I ordered 4 extra well nuts at $4.70 each from my local dealer to make it easy to switch between high and low position. Unfortunately The quieter windshield makes the cam chain noise more noticeable but that’s ok. Wanted to test it out at higher speeds on the freeway today but that never happened, maybe tomorrow.

A friend with a 2012 Tenere took my 13 with the tall V Stream for a test ride today, says he will be ordering the same windshield this week.

Picked up the extra well nuts yesterday and lowered the tall VStream about 1.6 inches, it seems to be about the perfect height for me now. One thing that seems kind of unusual is In the high position the cam chain noise was quite a bit more noticeable , in the low position it’s almost gone. So far I am very happy with the tall VStream !
