I installed mine a few days ago and love how they work. I have the MadStad adjustable bracket set on high and can really tell the difference. WORD OF CAUTION...save yourself the frustration before trying to install them with the crappy plastic screws they ship with, and get yourself some metric bolts to put into the rubberized well nuts!
They are M5 ::008::

I put a set on my 2016 ES last week, in the flat position. I saw them on a new one at a dealer and they had them flat, this way they are not in the way of the 12v outlet. I also have the extra support bracket to make the gps more stable that I got from one of the members here, had to add a 1/2 inch longer screw (metal) due to the thickness of the extra bracket. Will try them out later this weeek.

I placed half inch spacers on the inside of my wind deflectors, which moved them out. going to try that and move them out an inch next time, to see if it moves the air further out past the mirrors.

Wind deflectors that came with my 2011 model mounted on a 2015 bike. No problem. Just bolt straight on using the holes provided

New to the forum, looking for a different windscreen option.
What is that set up on yours? How well does it work? Just bought a 15

So mine are now installed backwards (flat) and they seem to work better, less turbulence. I think I'm leaving them backwards.

As for windscreens the Yamaha tall works for me and I'm 5' 11"

I installed mine angled up. Looked to be the way shown in the instructions. Cut down turbulence on my body a lot. Had the Yamaha tall screen but I had to have it jacked up too high to work for me (5'11"). I didn't like having to look thru the screen. The stock screen with a spoiler works for me. I probably get a little turbulence from my mirrors but it's not bad and wind noise is no longer a problem.

Especially for the Gen1 owners, blocking the airflow up from the forks also makes a difference. Do a search and you should be able to find a couple of old threads about it.

I'll have mine installed in a week. If Canada post doesn't go on strike. I hope they work as well as It appears. I've got a2016. I put an MRA extender on the stock windscreen. Works great. I'm 6,2 as well. I needed something to reduce the head buffeting.
Installed ,and they work great!

Ok I was wanting to transfer the wind deflectors from my 2013 Tenere to the new 2018 but it kinda looks like they might not fit properly. After reading this thread it sounds like maybe some folks have used a hacksaw to to cut off the front part of the deflectors and simply mounted them without using the front screw ? Maybe i would be better off just selling the 2013 deflectors and buying a new set made to fit the 2018 ? Do the 2018 deflectors come with 3 holes in each deflector but the front hole is somehow different ?

Take a look at Slipscreen products. They are an exact match for Yamaha parts and they are made from a heavier gauge material. Did I mention they are about half the cost of the Yamaha items?

They make them for all models of the Super Ten, 2010-13 and 2014-18 and they come with all fixing screws etc and they come in a variety of colours and tints.

Harry the more I look at it the better your idea sounds, seems like with the generation 2 Tenere the wind is pretty well blocked from being able to get behind the deflectors and that’s probably why Yamaha decided to forget about the extra hole for a front screw, unless I hear some good reason not to cut mine off that’s probably what I’m going to do.

5 minutes and a small hack saw and all is well. At least that is what I did. The winglet is also loosely mounted and can move 1 or 2 cm to the left and right without damaging it,

Well the first time I cut the deflectors shorter I used a hacksaw, it worked fine but I didn’t cut off enough so wasn’t able to raise and lower the windshield. So I learned the new 2014+ are 10.5 inches long and cut mine off again but used a air powered cutoff wheel made for cutting steel, it worked great and was much easier than the hacksaw method.

Who/where is the USA source for these wind wings??
If your talking about the winglets that mount with two screws to the fairing below the handlebars your local Yamaha dealer should be able to order them direct from Yamaha to fit your 2017 Tenere.

If your talking about the spoiler that attaches to the top of the windshield they are available on eBay , I bought one a few years ago for about $35 but for some reason are way higher priced today.
