I recall hearing several weeks ago, that if you have had covid, the vaccine will make your body produce a higher amount of cells to fight covid then what you may currently have, providing better protection. My pregnant D.I.L. who had covid, and has recovered, was told by her doctor that she was "covid proof" for 3-4 months; for the strain she had. So, I wouldn't think that someone that has recovered would need a vaccine. And, I don't think it helps you recover any quicker.
Why do you think you will have to pay for it?Even though I will most likely have to pay for it out of pocket as well.
Non-news....
It was presented on the news this morning that it was to be free. . . . to everybody. . . . period. This was put out while they were discussing the logistics of deploying the vax. It doesn't make sense to charge for it, if they want to eliminate the bug.Why do you think you will have to pay for it?
I think we should just pay people $500 to take the vaccine. It would likely cost the country less in the short and long term.It was presented on the news this morning that it was to be free. . . . to everybody. . . . period. You may not have to. I think the corporate sector and travel sector, among others, will force people to take it. As an example, I’m sure there’s gonna be many companies who are going to say, if you want to continue employment with us, or if you are looking to be hired by us, show proof of vaccination. I’m sure that most, if not all countries will require tourists to show proof of vaccination before coming into the country. Cruise ships for sure will require proof. So our respective governments do not have to force people to take the vaccine, other sectors will do it for them. And, if the vaccine proves to be a safe and effective as it is, many of the naysayers will come on board and readily join the lineup with their sleeves rolled up waiting for the shot.I think we should just pay people $500 to take the vaccine. You are exactly right! My former employer had a nurse come to our terminals to pass out the Flu shots for free. Some who did not take the shot suddenly lost employment shortly after. You may not have to. I think the corporate sector and travel sector, among others, will force people to take it. Just my opinion.
Polio. Look it up. Its a mandatory vaccine to enroll in public school.I think I'm backing out of this thread now. To consider that financial incentives are the only thing making some people nervous about taking a vaccine is blinkered. To say that you must allow yourself to be injected with a chemical you have doubts about, or risk losing your job and ability to feed and house your family is sinister in the extreme. Dictatorial even.
