The policy is to get at least one shot in the most number of people, I was told to schedule my second no sooner than 16 weeks. The rules are fluid, subject to changes due to supply and demand. The stay-at-home order has been in affect for one week but our Police has publicly stated they will not be enforcing it. We are allowed out of the house to get groceries and medicines and to exercise, today I will be exercising my right wrist and left fingers.

I got mine. I was scheduled for the AZ, but was changed to Phizer the day before. I think it bit fitting, as I'm a regular blood donor (94 donations and counting), and [TRUE STORY COMING] and my donation gets diverted as soon as they get it, two big strapping young lads put it in a cooler, and rush it out the door. I'm told it does directly to Phizer's manufacturing facility, where they put it in an autoclave, and use the resultant powder as base stock for Viagra.

I never tell this story if the Lovely Mrs. RogerRZ is within earshot. ;-)
I think I read the instructions wrong and took it too quickly...I've got the hardest calves ever!!

Got the second Moderna on Thursday. First one was nothing. Second one resulted in headache, chills, and some nausea on Friday. Nothing terrible, but enough to get me to stay home from work. By Saturday everything is fine.

Is there any medical data saying why they're waiting four months for shot two? Because that's not what either Phizer, or Moderna instructed. . . . or was approved for. Texas, and I'm sure other states, have reached the point that there are no waiting lines anymore. No registration needed. They're closing the mass vaccination sites, and leaving it to the pharmacies. But, the media is reporting that only about 30% have been vaccinated, and that's not enough for "heard immunity". I'm wondering, that between vaccinations, and recovered cases, what that percentage of the population would be. Because antibodies are antibodies. . . . doesn't matter how you get them.

My wife and I just got our second Moderna yesterday. With the first shot I felt a little bit off for about 20 minutes and the next day I just didn’t feel real well. My wife had no effects from the shot until the second day and she stayed home from work because she didn’t feel good at all.
Yesterday’s shot again didn’t affect my wife but for me, 8 minutes into the shot recovery I nearly passed out.

The nurse ran over with a BP cuff. My BP dropped to 60/38 when I normally run 122/75 on average. I recovered in about a half hour and last night I put six blankets on me because I was so cold.
Not the best experience for me for a 57yo.

Latest data shows the pfizer shot gives 70% protection on the first shot and 85% after the second.

That is pretty awesome.

I got the pfizer 1 and i am just waiting for my second. The place I used automatically reschedules the second for you.

I've seen evidence that the Pfizer vaccine provides ~70% protection 2 weeks after the first shot and up to 97-98% protections 2 weeks after the second shot.
I work as a paramedic. Me and all my colleges got vaccinated with Pfizer back in January. Since then not one of us (around 3.000 people) have been sick with Covid19. Before that we had people down with Covid19 all the time.

Several countries here in Europe have extended the interval between shot 1 and 2, in order to give more people some protection faster, as we currently have a delivery issue on vaccines - partly because some countries have decided to put AstraZeneca and J&J on hold.

I saw a young lady in the grocery store with a Merit Health Hospital tag on. I asked her how the Rona was at the hospital was and if she got her shot. She looked at me hard. Said a defiant NO. WTF

As Don wrote, it's not about data, it's about fastest way to get as much of the population as possible. Now that the US vaccinations have actually started to slow, there's talk in DC about increasing the deliveries to other countries. It's easy to forget that we need other countries with functioning economies to trade with. And then there's that nasty death toll and helping others thing.

Yeah, I remember when the vaccinations first stated, they were debating the "one dose" idea v. the two as recommended. But, yeah, if we have doses here that nobody here wants. . . . o_O . . . . lets give them to those that do want them.

As far as the four month interval, I thought maybe they had learned something new. . . . since they're still learning.

GV550 is in Canada, which has too few doses, since they are relying on imports, hence the stretch out on the time frame. One is better than none. They have that great socialized medical care that some here in the States want to replicate.

Masks do absolutely zero, but make sure to wear them for the next few decades anyway just for the wonderful feeling they do something, which they don't. I used to like to play around in Las Vegas, but the laws there state "mask must be worn (even though does nothing) unless eating, drinking or smoking. So in other words if you smoke, which kills 10x the people this virus does, you are exempt. They can never quench down the smokers, that would damage the economy, but if you don't smoke you wear a mask that does zero. I so much enjoy the every day, day after day entertainment. No one cares if you are vaccinated, it doesn't matter, we are all stuck in bull crap for eternity.
