So… the China bug got me and my wife. Wife already had it a few days and we can’t live apart far enough to avoid contaminating me. Just a cold until now, let’s see what the future looks like. At least I am getting some jobs done around the house now. But since being self employed nobody is paying me. Instead I’ll be moderating the hell out of this forum! That task has gotten easier since the invasion of Ukrain, most of Vlad his boys are gone. And that leaves more time to ride the SuperTénéré! Woohoo lucky me!

Take care guys
YEOW!!!

Unfortunately I am glad you have time to chase the pests too. Today it seems that Vlad's Boy Toys are back....sheesh....wish they would crawl back where they came from

It got my household 10days ago we caught it from our sons family, scratchy throat for 2 days, mild fever for my daughter and me a bit worse for the wife, temps were mild ,maxed out at 37.4C and lasted between 15 - 48 hrs. Some minor body aches, overall for us it was more than 'a cold' but less severe than a flu that lays you up for a week. We had upped our Vitamin C, D and Zinc last month leading up to this.

Me and the wife have had a chesty cough this week and have antibiotics to clear it.

I didnt lose any of my senses of taste or smell and have had a healthy appetite through out but my wife has had a metallic taste she cant shake.

We are not vaxxed and assumed Omicron Ba2 is what we caught, the RAT test just shows a result.

I'd still like to know what differentiates Omicron, and Omicron 2.0. Why didn't it get it's own letter? Do Omicron 1.0 antibodies "protect" against 2.0? Ukraine has pretty much displaced covid news around here.

I think all C19 variant antibodies help protect a fair bit to whatever new one comes along , i say this as my bro inlaw who caught the Alpha strain had very little issues with Omicron at Xmas time compared to my sis , both unvaxed.
Im only guessing..
Ukraine and Covid make up alot of our news down here atm.

That sounds like a normal cold with some additional inconveniences. I hope you all get up to full health soon! Not a clue what a rat test is. I did a selftest that confirmed I had COVID, then made an appointment at the local health center for a PCR-test and that made it “official”. Which one, not a clue, they don’t tell us. Every day they announce the total numbers and then “xx% was omicron”.

Until now apart from having a blocked nostril I wouldn’t have noticed. Wife a bit more but cold but that’s it.

Take care!

My six months is coming up the end of this month. I'm curious what I'm going to feel. The third shot has less pain intensity, but lasted 3-4 days in stead of 1. I'm wondering if the flu shot that went in with caused the difference.

The second booster did make my arm sore for a day (earlier shots didn't even do that). My wife felt really miserable for two nights and the day between after here second booster. She only had a sore arm from previous shots. The full body pain for her stopped very suddenly after some cold sweats. Just fine immediately after that.

Good for them. I got my second booster (fourth shot) last Friday. I had some minor aches that I couldn't be sure weren't caused by my workout that day. Either or, they were gone in a day with some ibuprofen. I did have some "injection site soreness" after sleeping on that arm all night. Glad the vaccine manufacturer(s) are getting rich. There saving a ton of lives.

Got the single J&J shot last April. Developed blood clots as a result in May, and went down hard with COVID anyway in September / October. Took months to recover, and only just now getting off the blood thinners, with lasting damage in the blood vessels of my right leg.

When I explained to doctors how I got the clot, most of them nodded but said nothing, a few said "there's no evidence of that", then I saw this week that the J&J shot is now off the market due to the risk of blood clots.

Yeah, there was evidence of the clots, just not enough for the FDA to claim it as fact. Now, there is enough evidence. Although I saw that they're recommending it's use if you're allergic to the Pfizer & Moderna version. So, does that mean your risk of clots is less if you're allergic to the other two?
