Will the rear rack of a zE model go on a Z model?

I have messed up! I have a Z model which does not come with a rack and have bought the top part numbered 37 in the diagram not realising you need part 41 also. If i get 41 will it go on a z model. Thanks. This was meant to be a quick, cheap measure so I don't have to buy an aftermarket rack immediately. I have paid for only half a rack... numpty.

I got rid of all that and bolted an Altrider plate straight to it, the flat part. Anything similar will do. Then you can put spacers in between that and the rack you put on and you can get a big spacenout of it. Assuming the rack is metal.

I am hoping someone in the uk has the lower part as many seem to upgrade their racks from the original like you. As said I don,t want to get into the whole upgrade yet due to time and cost. I thought the rack I bought was a quick, cheap temporary get out but it's only half of it! I am hoping to go touring in about 5 days...

Well the seller has very kindly cancelled the order even though it was my mistake. Road and Racing in Verwood and said pop in for a coffee no problem. I am in the trade and it's always nice to meet like minded folks, much appreciated as it was my mistake. Maybe still interested if anyone has the whole Yam rear rack and it if it fits a z model... or any good rack as suggested above... although I cannot afford more than £50 at the moment, I need the whole set up really but that will have to wait...

37 is no good for a topbox if you want a top box you need 41 then my givi top box plate fits to 41 then add top box

Thanks Bimota for the link of 41, I am obviously not very good at searching on EBay once again! I have contacted him, he is only 20 odd miles away so can ride over and check it out. Thanks also for your 37 link but I would prefer a black one.

I think you also need longer bolts to fit both parts than I have on my Z already.

no worries that 41 rack will probably just need a clean but thats very cheap

I think I might have a complete OEM one which I took off to fit a Givi but I can only check tonight after work

Thanks for the offers folks... contemplating... not sure how the Touratech fits with the three bolts that attach the existing little plastic fitting! More research!
