Which crash bars allow access?

alt rider are great , and you can do battery stuff .... never once had to remove or loosen to do a battery change in 7 years of alt rider ownership.

SW-Motech on mine. The right side is removable without removing the bars but is a royal PITA. There is zero clearance and the panel needs to be forced out. 9/10 times I have loosened the bars to give me clearance and save some scratching on the panel. Thankfully, I have never needed to remove it on the road.

That reminds me, I need to put in my new battery, F#$&...

Thank you all for your input. After weighing the pros and cons, crunching a few numbers and vowing to buy the cheaper 2-ply toilet paper for the next while, I’ve decided to go for the AltRider. Even found a local dealer who has them in stock and cheaper overall than shipping from the US.

Wish deciding on a skid plate was as easy - I don’t like any of them. Oh, farkles!
