Which Battery Charger?

I've got a Deltran Battery Tender, (Super Smart) 1.25A charger with the two lights on it, red for charging, and green for storage charging. Unfortunately I can't find any model number on it. Should I use it on the VRLA battery that's in the bike? There's a warning in the manual about having to use a "special" battery charger, or is this the "special" one they're talking about?

The articles I have read concerning problems with the sealed battery, reference fast chargers. They advise that oxygen is produced when they are overcharged, and that is a problem. The Battery Tender is very low charge voltage, and it shuts off; not charging until you unplug it. I use the same brand, with the same charging voltage, but different housing. I have not had any problems, and battery is always ready.
