I'm new to Dual Sport riding and have limited experience in riding off road so I have been reading some literature on riding in the dirt. Now I need to find some good areas to go out and practice. I found what I thought was some good two tracks around Lake Lavon that are fun, but have since found out that riding those areas on a motorcycle is illegal. :'(

The only other areas I have found are just straight dirt road. Does anyone know of some fun DS routes in North Texas?

Thanks,

Steve

I'm in DFW area. I go southwest towards Hico and Cranfills Gap area, or I head Northwest towards Cado Grasslands and then up north of Muenster towards the river. Just dirt roads. Not dual sport I guess. But it's dusty, fun , and traffic is minimal.

I have a couple Garmin routes made up. I've made up a north, and south DS route. Working on a west route.

Edit: Actually, north end of Grapevine Lake in Trophy Club is an area you pay to get into that may have some stuff challenge yourself with. Don't recall the name of the place. Took a Jeep there once to test it out.
