At 1:28 it shows that it's on a parallel planet. And it's a magic bike too, because the right rear turn signal is broken at :36 and fixed elsewhere.
;)
Could be almost anywhere in the west Sahara, including Morocco, Mauritania, and Algeria. Yamaha has done a lot of commercials in Morocco so that would be my guess.

I've seen that piece of dessert, and fort, on the Science Channel's What on Earth. Can't remember where it was, but it was very interesting. They explain who built it, and when it was built.

Sorry, I can't remember. I tried finding the episode on the website, but couldn't. It was in late November, I think.

I never could understand why anyone would travel halfway around the world to ride Morocco and places they think are so beautiful when right here in our own Utah we have the exact same scenery if not better.

I don't know where the commercial was filmed but I have a local riding area in the mountains near me. It's a much better view than anyone here can provide. The steps are a bit of a challenge but would be doable on a T700. Even after a fire the riding is epic:

Exactly my thoughts. I live in Europe as well. Morocco it’s just a 4 hours ride for me (Lisbon-Portugal).
In 2007 I was fortunate to travel not only Utah but Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and Arizona. Can’t wait to get there again. But not in the “neighborhood” and the world has a lot to visit ;)

Hi Paletes3,
Portugal is also on my "Do List" ;)
If you want some fresh air, you are very welcome to visit my country Alsace, close to Strasbourg

If anyone wants to ride in the cold and wet, fairly boring roads, congested, speed cameras everywhere, expensive fuel, virtually no legal off roading and car drivers that are constantly texting please feel free to come and visit me in the UK.

Haha...for those that dont know me I'm not really a bitter/cynical old man!! I'm just kidding...but I am insanely envious of some of those pictures/riding environments.
Enjoy!!

Without the need for a passport or a long ass flight to ride somebody else's bike. I've been fortunate to live in numerous states over the years. Nothing against the rest of the world, but I'd much rather "fill in the map", like you have, than travel abroad. :)

I grew up in two places in Ohio and longed to escape and see the world. Now that I've been there & done that, I totally agree that we have some drop dead places right here in North America. But I also still enjoy tripping across new places, meeting people, and seeing why other cultures view things so differently.
