Edelweiss Norway! After the first day we'd ride the same route but on out own rather than with the herd, then meet up for dinner and the evenings.

Look close and you'll see the road we just came up:

This house is held down for when it "gets a little windy."

Winding roads almost everywhere, spectacular scenery and the chance to do a few countries on one trip, my advice would be the Alps, with a little bit of careful planning a pretty epic trip is very doable. The weather is more likely to be on your side than it would be further north in Europe.

Bike hire and do your own thing gives you more freedom, plus there’s many on here that are very experienced with European bike travel that can offer help and advice. Hotels are plentiful, meaning you don’t have to be tied to an itinerary.

I've done quite a few motorcycle rides in Europe. The Alps are terrific, a great combination of riding and sightseeing. In my experience, the classics, like Stelvio Pass, can been pretty crowded so while fun they aren't the most challenging. For the most challenges along with amazing views, I highly recommend the Pyrenees.

Peru. Cusco to Machu Picchu and back. Spend a couple of days in Machu Picchu city/Aqua Caliente and explore the ancient city. Hire a guide or not. Rent small bikes and have a blast. Wife and I did that on Honda 400 Falcon dual sports. We got a guide and that simplified the hotel stays and where to put the bikes when we took the train to MP city, etc. Plenty to see in Cusco too. Great people, friendly and I'd go back in a second.

Europe is fine. The passes are crowded with everyone and thing from bicycles to buses. There is a road around for a reason. Really early it's good. Mid day you will hate life and wish for a teleporter so you don't have to share the road with all the idiots. there is a reason all the countries are so small in Europe. Spider is right, stay away from the "classics" and enjoy the rest of Europe.

I highly recommend the United States Of America. One of the best countries in the world!! In CA you can go from hot beach to snowy twisting mountains in the same morning.

My take on this.
I've ridden all over Europe, had two months in the States a few years ago and just returned from a trip to Romania via the Alps, Dolomites and Black Forest. It is four years since in the Alps and they do seem busier than ever, as does Germany too.
My favourite country to ride in is the Spanish Pyrenees and Picos Mountains in the Spring and Autumn. It is cheaper than the rest of Europe, weather is better ie more sun and less rain with less population density and they have a strong motorcycling culture. The EU(UK ?) has given loads of money to spend on roads which are a pleasure to ride, further more, as it rains less there is less vegetation so the bends are often more open.
For ideas of where to go the UK Ride magazine a routes you can download.

My suggestion would be to rent a bike, and do it on your own. Do your own research of what to see, where to go and then make a plan. I don’t like the bike tours, I called them motorcycle bus tours. You’re on their agenda. If you would like to stay longer in a particular area, you can’t. Or, if you don’t want to stay in an area, you have to because that’s where they booked the hotel. You accomplish more on your own ride, versus using an organization. However, it’s personal preference. Many people prefer to go with a company organized motorcycle tour, as it provides all the hotels and sightseeing.

The passes aren’t crowded at all, providing you avoid the kids school holidays. Late June and the first three weeks in July and then from the second week in Sept and it’s fine. Although I would agree with not bothering with stuff like the Stelvio, unless you really want to tick it off the list. There’s dozens and dozens of passes in the Alps, Dolomites, Vosges and Vercors, the vast majority of which aren’t busy at all. Have a look at The Route De Grande Alpes, which is a dedicated route to follow.

Just seen Barts post and have to agree, the Pyrenees and Picos (next years trip) are both stunning, with great biking roads and therefore highly recommended. My only reason for putting the Alps further up the list, was more and easier opportunity for visiting multiple countries on one trip, which may be important to someone coming from across the pond.

I want to take a 8-10 day Motorcycle tour somewhere in the world with great winding roads mountains ? looking to see( Edelweiss Bike Travel ) has to offer ? Loaded Question .. any great Ideas
Lots of good ideas here, I'd give some thought to - what sorts of foods do you like? What will you do when not on the bike? Want to include some hiking/ sea kayaks? How polished/ fancy do you want your accommodations? And- check where you can go for cheap. No sense making the trip super expensive, if you are ambivalent as to location, then work it so you have a few bucks left for the next trip. You have internet- so some serious surfing, make it YOUR vacation.

My personal thoughts lately, Spain has appeal. Particularly, the Sierra Nevada area. Check youtube, Missenden Flyer
Good weather, good economics, nice riding. Norway is also attractive to me. Depends on time of year, between those two.

Just go Alps ;)
France, Austria , Italy, Swiss, paved roads or easy (and legal) off-road, just avoid well known touristic locations during full summer crowdy months (July and August) and enjoy your trip

Chris, I think he meant somewhere outside of the big beautiful wall.

Boy she's dumb as a box of rocks!! I did all my world travels as a young man. I have flown and explored more countries than the average world traveler. And I still say the USA is the best. Crater Lake, Oneonta Gorge, Prismatic Spring, Apostle Islands, Joshua Tree, and the list goes on. I still have a lot to explore here and have no desire to travel outside somewhere I need to ship my bike.

Not sure what the roads are like but for scenery... I would opt for 2 weeks in New Zealand.

Roads in NZ are great.

4 weeks ago I flew over and rode this bike:

4 days of riding:

A couple of years ago I rode here in 100 hours:

On this BMW R1200RT:

Great roads. Very little traffic apart from right near the handful of cities. Mainly winding roads with lots of mountainous twisties. Maybe 100km of 'interstate' type roads.

I'm heading back there in about 8 weeks :p
