. . . . A little farther down the road, the tar snakes were so slippery and soft that I thought I had both tires going flat. . . .
A few years back, the city here used a different type of patch. It never completely hardens like in the past. So, when you're traveling over it, and especially if you're turning, it's actually moving underneath you. The tires aren't slipping/sliding, the patch is moving. Yeah, it sucks.

Hey holligl, That is one incredibly well-built looking bash plate/engine guard on your motorcycle! Do you care to share who manufactures it? I’ve not seen one like that. Thanks for your time. View attachment 92811
Sorry for the late response. This is a RideOnAdv plate, made by ~Tabasco~. I got it used off a salvaged bike, and had to mod it to fit the Gen 2 stock exhaust. They are a custom built beast of a plate. Not sure if Jaxson has a actual Gen 2 design yet. I upgraded from a Southwest Motech plate that was not giving me the protection I needed.

Rode to town to buy tomatoes, bacon, and crackers. I have six miles of Gravel and 14 miles of pavement so it is a short trip. I take the long way home and can ride some pretty good gravel county roads coming or going.

Wild life preservation tour around and north of Lake Geneva, WI. Managed to NOT hit a small young deer at full sprint on the border. Probably ten feet to spare after the brake & escape. You never know what they are going to do, but he was moving fast enough he wasn't changing directions or even stopping on the asphalt. Later moved this guy off the road as he was right in the traffic lane.

Got married Saturday.
IMG_1609.JPG

I let my wife decide how we should spend the honeymoon. She could chose any destination/means of travel she wanted.

She chose a motorcycle trip to Stockholm/Sweden.

Great choice!

So today I took my T12 on our honeymoon (my wife rides her F800GS). Half the day was spend on gravel roads.

Stockholm is beautiful.
