I'd probably never return from AZ. Absolutely love the place, but I'd stay in the Page area.
Two places in AZ would be ideal. East Valley for the winter, high country for the summer.

Fleeing boring weather in Sweden for a week of curves, scraping pegs and great food in the Dolomites.
Ta safe guard against snow and other unpleasantness in Scandinavia, we decided to trailer the bikes to Italy.

Ooops, Polish trucker decided to back into our transport! Luckily, just some cracked plastics.

Chicken strips almost eradicated and both bikes ran perfectly.
Limiting factor, as usual, the riders. All good and a fantastic trip!

I live up north, within few hours from Garda's lake....

Is there a story behind those limits?
Forgive the response gap, I needed to speak with a friend who is an employee in order to answer your question.
The story goes like this:
As well as thousands of employees this campus is open to the public for sporting activities in the athletic fields.
The public can roam the entire campus exterior unhindered.
The management felt unusual speed signs would be more noticed than the old run of the mill signs.
I suppose so, to some degree, for at least a while.
When visiting six weeks ago I spotted the signs at once.
This past Saturday when the photos were taken there were also the very noticeable new additions of speed humps. People will be people after all.
They also have a roaming parking lot robot complete with plate reader and gunshot detector. A gunshot detected will launch surveillance drones from the main building.
I could tell you more but you know how that ends :)

Definitely more attention getting, but, like you said people being people. . . . people will either obey a limit sign, or they won't; regardless of the number on the sign.

Finished the Continental Divide Route, riding from SC to NM, the US/Mexico Border, then North to Pole Bridge, MT, the US/Canada Border, then back home to SC. Over 7800 miles driveway to driveway. Working on my pictures and videos for my RR which I’ll post in Tall Trails. Some teasers:

Wouldn't that be because the speed limit was in MPH and change it to KPH (10 MPH and 15MPH!) I'm gessing!

Southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Nice day after some rainy days. I need to get a WI OHV sticker next year to open up some opportunities.

Lunch stop on the border.
