Tellico Plains, Cherohala Skyway, and some forest roads in between the Skyway and Andrews, NC.

First stop was at the Tellico Grains Bakery in Tellico Plains, TN:

Highest point on the Cherohala Skyway:

I turned off the Skyway onto Snowbird Road and made some turns, which eventually turned into some forest roads, with yet another turn, that took me over to Andrews, NC - just over an hour through the gravel sections:

Today I rode the Jotunheimen road and the Peer Gynt road which both are right in the heart of Norway's troll country. Around any turn, a giant troll might appear and scare you sh**less :eek:o_O:).

These are gravel roads, like most of our roads used to be when I was a kid. We still have 25 000 kms of public gravel roads, most of them back east or up in the mountains. This time of the year is perfect for riding these roads --less traffic, less tourists, fabulous colors and nice warm weather, never less than 14 deg C.

Took a trip to Chicago over the weekend. Nothing interesting about that. Got hit with maybe the worst time I've ever ridden in on the way back through Michigan. Close to two hours of pounding rain, a lot of it so strong I couldn't see a damn thing except the tailights in front of me.

Storm coming up on me

Sadly I haven't ridden my Tenere for three months maybe. Been busy in the yard, garage, shed and some difficulty with a medication. Getting ready for a new roof and some repairs to the garage. I walk around the Tenere a lot. Lately I have been jonesing to ride. Maybe next week a ride to the Berryessa area.

We found that around any corner could be lots of sheep.

But we did see trolls.

I'm in Gothenburg for work this week.
