This is from a ride south of Hartzel CO and east of Buena Vista CO.
This is steeper that it looks and much rockier and rutier than it looks. I should have known it was a sign of things to come.

I know this doesn't like like much, but the mud is clay and like riding on ice. Up around the corner, the trail went down to 1 small track with snow on the left & a foot deep rut with water in it. I was doing ok until the knobby tires filled up with mud and turned into slicks. I don't have any pictures, I was more concerned about getting out of there since there weren't any semi fresh 4x tracks. The bike went down on the left side. The bike landed on my left leg. I'm really glad I had the soft bags on, instead of the hard ones. I would have been a hurting puppy if they were on. I pushed the bike off my leg with my free right leg. Thankfully the snow was grippy and not pure ice like in other spots. The bike stood right up. Once in the saddle I just let the clutch out without any throttle and the bike walked right out of the rut onto the grass side. I sure like the torque of this bike. The mud took a long time to be slung off the tires because it was so sticky.

Another section, that I wound up going up and down due to the road running out further down the road. Some sketchy muddy uphill/downhill corner sections up around the corner..

The road I was on came to a barbed wire gate that I went thru and came to this spot where the road petered out in what looked like a wet marshy area. Notice the mud on the front tire from the previous road or 2. There were no issues with the lh saddle bag. It didn't even get muddy. It did bend the sheetmetal backing plate I built for them, but it was easily bent back into place once at home.

After lunch at the cabin, I had to backtrack about a mile to get to a road that headed down hill. This is steeper than it looks with more of the slick slippery clay mud behind me on the downside of the picture.

Up around the corner is where all of the mud was, in the shade from the above picture.

Finally dry road ahead.

Hi to all!
This past weekend I end up going to the state of Veracruz and visited some towns, like Misantla, Veracruz port, Cordoba, Orizaba and Fortin de las Flores, it was almost a 1000km tour. Enjoyed it with my friend Everardo and his brother in law Rafael.Ruta.png
Some pictures of the places I visited.

Hey Don, there's a thread "Beat my sunrise". Or, something similar, I couldn't find it. Maybe one of the other guys can locate it, but, your pics would be contenders. Keep posting even if it's not in the "sunrise" thread.

Blimey ... if anyone 'over the pond' wishes to adopt a 61 yr old Brit that is house trained, doesn't eat too much and promises not to stay out late ... then I am your man ... I am a frustrated cowboy, gold prospecter, farm hand, rodeo rider, bar tender or just a 'good old boy' playing a 3 string cigar box guitar on my porch ... I would give anything to ride some of these roads and tracks that the States and Canada are blessed with, its just the space!!!! the miles upon miles upon 1000's of miles of space ... the UK feels like we are all squeezed into a cupboard under the stairs! I love our outdoors here but boy oh boy I wish we had some of that room to breath and explore. Awsome pics and thanks for sharing.

Used to live right up on the hills mate, in a great spot near the Chase Inn, was in Malvern for around 5 years and it was lovely but a proper traffic pain in the bum just to get to the M5 ... pretty place to live though. Mind you ... it can be like a footy crowd even up there on a sunny day :) but I have always had a love affair with the USA, ever since I was a kid, just love it.

I used to see my best friend in Worcester when he moved from Watfor(silent D) to work as a carer. His wife is from Worcester, but they live in Brizzle now. Always liked Worcester and they sell the sauce in Philippines, so result!!

The Malverns were great, but you are right, always rammed.

My thing when I was a kid was Oz...

Then you'll want to stay out west. . . . but, not too far west, or you'll end up in crazy California. But, even if that happens, they have some great roads.

Ha ha ... I liked what we saw of California and even loved LA even though many seem to hate it. Enjoyed Santa Barbara and Monteray (spelling)
Arizona blew me away ... well where we were and I loved Sedona. Soooooo much I want to see, want to see the Appalachian Mtns, want see Colerado area ... just want to take a few months and keep moving ... never happen but I can dream :(;)

I've been fortunate to live in several regions of the US. Arizona was by far my favorite, whereas Washington State was my least favorite. But, yes there are plenty of places over here worth seeing. That being said, "over there" has more than it's share also. It's probably a grass is always greener on the other side of the fence kinda thing. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and familiarity breeds contempt, may have a hand in it too.
