Am planning a Norway trip for next year, will probably use this one way on the return, eases the return journey a little.
How about returning from Norway to Shetland then hop over to Orkney and back over to the mainland and return through Scotland?
I do fancy another trip to Norway, I missed out the Lofoten islands last time I went which was a mistake particularly since I’d actually got to Bodo to get the ferry over and then changed my mind and carried on heading north

Man...after reading you guys' posts...I miss living in Europe and traveling from border to border like nothing.
In a couple of weeks, I'm riding the ST to a beach campsite just south of Rocky Point Mexico. Only for the weekend.
Then I have a scuba trip to the Bahamas at the end of June, then a huge paintball war in Pennsylvania the week after in July. After that, I'm taking a couple of weeks off work and shipping my bike to Salt Lake City Utah, visit a buddy, then ride back to Phoenix AZ hitting the back roads only.
I will rinse and repeat shipping my bike to Colorado Springs and riding back to Phoenix (the mountain passes on the way back are full of twisties and cliffs.
And the same shipping my bike to Seattle and checking out the Canadian mountains with my fellow ADV rider who lives up there. I am shipping the bike back to Phoenix after that ride, the the way back sucks.

I’m not sure that any ferry runs from Norway to any of the Scottish islands anymore.

Well I was due to take the Harwich - Hook of Holland ferry tomorrow, but I picked up a shoulder injury a few weeks ago s just not healed well, so I have just moved my ferry crossing to 18th June. Fingers crossed it will be enough time and I’ll be on the ferry!
My original intention was Holland, Germany, Denmark cross to Sweden Fredrikshaven-Gothenburg then down to Malmo and over the bridge on the return loop, but…… Bavaria is also calling so I will decide for sure over the next few weeks!

Taking the tunnel on Friday for a 2 week trip down to Greece.
That sounds great! What sort of route you taking? That’s a fair few countries to pass through on the way. Somewhere between 8-12? Maybe a little less if sailing from Italy for the final leg.

France, Switzerland, Italy - then a ferry across to Greece. It's an organised tour so someone else has done all the planning for me this time.

That sounds like the Global tour leaving this week. There is a ST on that tour ridden by Tim! 4 friends and I are leaving the UK early and having a couple of nights in Ypres, Belgium visiting WW1 sites and joining the tour at the first hotel. I'll be riding a GSA

Then in July I'm going to the Swiss and Austrian Alps on the ST with the same company

Finally August sees me touring France and Northern Spain with 5 friends (2 of them are on the Greek trip) as a self guided tour organised, again, by the same company

Trips built up due to Corvid cancellations over the past 2 years

Look forward to meeting you

Not idea. I have no itinerary. What's happening?
That is absolutely the best way to travel, I'm envious.
Canadian north has fantastic scenery and if you've never been there I'd highly recommend it.
The 10th international Super Tenere rally will be in Whitehorse July 8-10, it would be great to meet you there.
But if this is your solo ride unencumbered with dates and places and people then you do you. :)

Sorry for for your loss Ric H, just go where the wind blows you mate.
I also lost my wife to cancer back in 2014 with a young son I didn't get much me time back then. I found ghost rider a great book and it did help me I'm still healing and a good long ride is good for the soul.
Take care mate

Just got back from my first overseas trip on the S10. All my previous foreign jaunts have been on a Suzuki GSX1400 travelling to France, Spain, Belgium, Germany & Italy, which was fine but 350-400 mile days were the max before dis comfort starting setting in

This time was just to the Calvados region of Northern France and I must say the comfort was superb. Rode 550 miles from Cheshire to Normandy with no aches & pains at all

Looking forward to a few more euro trips later this year
