Kind of boring, so sorry, but today while riding in heavy traffic, saw air temp of 127 degrees. I think that is the highest I've ever seen while actually riding. I realize the air temp is effected by other factors, so not accurate, but I was getting a little on the warm side. :)

I think it's "intake" temp, not "air" temp.

If you biff your fan, then clutch and rev a lot in deep sand with little forward progress for a while, you can blow the cap off the reservoir tank and blow/ boil half your coolant volume away. When you do that, the whole display will say in large font "HI TEMP".

I haven't checked this bike's temp gauge in a while. Although the air temp has been 98-102 for a couple of weeks now. The highest I've seen was on the ST1300. I think the Honda's gauge maxes out at 122. Because several times it showed 122, and was blinking; 121 did not blink. I didn't have a dry piece of clothing on at all.

124 degrees while cruising 80 mph down the highway. Outside air temperature was 118 degrees at that time.

Death Valley?
No Imperial Valley, Ocotillo CA was the peak temp of the day.
I rode from Tucson to El Centro (~300 miles) that summer day without seeing another bike. Then only a handful all the way into LA basin.

5P is when we start cooling off. But, in the summer time, 80 for an overnight "low" is quite common around here.
