Recently I removed my CAT and modified my muffler. It flows so much better. I already had Anthony reflash it and it seems not to need any further attention in that dept. I also installed an MC Cruise cruise control which was a little time consuming since I did a lot of little extras while I had things all apart. Great product. It works flawlessly and wasn't hard to install. I don't mind spending a bit of money on it since it is a 2012 that I bought with 4K miles on it a few years back for $7K. I also did the 2014 clutch upgrade which stopped all the 3K shuttering among several other things. Great bike now and very useable where I live in northern AZ and a great 2 up road bike too.

Did the valves in February, but I wasn't happy with the results. Tick, tick, tick. So I went at it again, and did it my way, not the way a buddy had done them. Quiet engine now, everything down the middle, gap wise. Bike has 100k on it, I'll do them again at 200. What a pita to get the cover and gaskets back in and seated. Stuck many pins in my Yamaha Engineer voodoo doll.

Had intermittent turn signals on the day after a rain, would work when they felt like it. Had done the bar switch service without solution, so I tore down the ignition switch. Not much arcing, but a lot of road crud got in to it, so it's all clean now. Hope that solved the problem.

I was able to climb aboard mine for the first time in 4 weeks. Probably another 6-8 weeks before I can ride her again. I had a total knee replacement back on May 25th. Making good progress with the PT, but it’s a lengthy process.

I had both of mine replaced 10 years ago. Me being the no pain no gain type. I over did my therapy. I told the dr mine were killing me 2 months later. He ask me about my home therapy. When I told him my rigorous routine. He told me no pain no gain is BS. They still work fine.

To the air flow.
Yes. I got the N20306 which I believe is the tallest one they offer. I’m 6’-3” with 34” inseam with the seat in high position. I first installed it on the high setting but I was looking thru the windshield and I don’t like that. After moving it to the low position it’s right about at nose level where I like it. The wind now at 70mph flows right over my head and my wife’s head with virtually zero buffeting. The air on the side hits my arms up to my shoulders, but not excessive, but it’s nice to have that, especially when it’s hot out. It made a huge difference and riding much more enjoyable for my wife and I. We can actually talk while riding at highway speeds and hear the Bluetooth speaker.

New rear brake pads, Friday all day all-road training. Probably gonna need the rear a lot.
First pads, took them off at 39.000km. Fitted new OE pads. Old ones still some life left but wanted to be sure and had them on the shelf.

When your fitting new pads would you put a grease like copper slip on the back ? Haven’t done any for a while and seem to remember doing this to stop noise. I’ll need to change mine out before a trip in September. Cheers
