D-a-a-a-a-m. . . . not sure that I've ever been that bored before. If that's polished bare metal, you'll want to put some Sharkhide on it. Keeps it shiny.

Any alternatives? I was about to just spray some s100 rustproofing

Can you do mine please ?
Sure! Get me a table buffing wheel tho, my arm was about to drop off with all that handpolishing

I don't know the s100. It might be fine. The skid plate is aluminum, so it won't rust. Sharkhide seals it, prevents it from oxidizing, and keeps it shiny. I guess, just Google something similar.

I mounted my Pannier racks that I picked up off this forum a while back. It works, but I don't see how my toolbox is gonna mount just yet. Have to see. At least I can mount my bags, so I'm closer to having if ready for my trip next month!

A friend slid down the highway from well over 60 mph with those Moskos on his Trumph. The bike got totaled but those bags are now on his new Tiger. He loves them.

I adjusted handlebar pitch, lever positions and brush guard positions. Trying to find a more comfortable riding position. I might need bars with a little more rise over stock, even with the helibar risers.

Took the original Wolfman ridiculously thin ABS panels out of the tank bag, used them as templates for some kydex, cut the kydex piece in half, making a left and right side, once the templates were completed to make it a two piece sidewall stiffener, then re-inserted them and put the ABS panel back over the top. Reinforces the side walls of the tank bag so it doesn't droop any more, but also makes it so if I land on it chest-first, it doesn't act like a rigid spike into my chest (still has some give).

Valve adjustment. 50K miles and 7 needed to drop to the next size dowm shim. Had to get a new CCT since mine didn't want to pop out after retracting it a few times. Not much room to work in there.

Changed the rear wheel bearings and dust seal. Used parts direct from Yamaha. Noted that the new bearings are KBC.

TBH they didn’t really need changing, they felt fine. However I have a couple of big trips coming up (hopefully) in the next couple of years, so at almost 36k miles I thought a bit of cheap preventative maintenance during Covid lockdown makes sense.

The non wheel bearing on the rear, the one in the drive hub, was out of stock, so I’ll change later this year. As I understand it, this bearing rarely fails.............this correct?

Afternoon ‍♂, was the CCT a Yamaha part or Aftermarket?? I'm considering a Aftermarket manual CCT for reliability reasons.
Thoughts ?
