Had the bike for a couple of weeks now, due to the weather and other commitments haven’t had the opportunity to take it out since I rode it home from the dealer, had the time to do a few minor cosmetic changes to it, puts a seat cover on it, couple of minor carbon wraps and also sprayed the skid paint black trying to “black out” the bike a bit! can’t wait for a dry day to take it out for a spin.View attachment 76796View attachment 76797
Is that a cool cover on the front seat? I have one of those waiting to be fitted. Hope it helps with seat comfort, although I think the problem is more me than the seat, as I used to get a numb butt on my previous bike as well.

Yes, it’s a Cool cover, had one on my previous bike, thoroughly recommended, keeps your arse dry in the wet and does a fantastic job of air-conditioning your backside in the summer, you can physically feel the cool air flowing between your arse and the seat! It makes the seat slightly more spongy and softer if that’s your problem.Have heard of the flat seat mode? you can do to the bike which apparently makes it more comfy, sadly I haven’t ridden the bike enough to know whether I need to do this or not.

Ta for the update, am really hoping it makes a difference. I tried the flat seat mod, made no difference for me, however others have seen some improvement to comfort.

when you get the chance to ride you may want to get some wind deflectors they really work well

Since it was a nice day to get outside into the shed. I decided to install a skid\bash plate I bought in Dec from the UK. I don't plan on heavy off-road activities so this should work for maintained gravel and dirt logging roads which abound here in Nova Scotia.

It was an easy install. They come in two colours - original aluminium or painted black. I decided to go unpainted as I am sure it won't take long to get it scratched and dinged up a bit.

Looks like the factory Yamaha version.
Agreed, one of the reasons I didn't go OEM from Yamaha was price based. Even with shipping from the UK it was less than buying direct from Yamaha. Not sure how thick the Yamaha skid plate is but this one is 3mm thick. They also mentioned that it very similar to Yamaha one with the same space between the filter and guard. What was nice is that they even threw in a free rear brake pedal extender in the box.

This weekend - Puig headlight guard, DoubleTake mirrors, HeliBars risers (not pictured), TechSpec tank grips, and 140 miles up to Whidbey Island.

Coming this week - Bumot panniers, T-Rex skid plate and crash bars, Madstad winshield.

I am enjoying this bike. :)

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
Son of a biscuit....

Nothing like getting a job done, having all the tools put away, washed up, and seeing a part you forgot to put back on.
Changed the air filter, and forgot to put the plug back in the box. At least I don't have to take out all them stupid screws to put it pack on.
A jobs not done till its done twice!
