Tied my aux lights in with my high beans on one switch. So now I am a wall of light when I need to be.
Went with a push button rather than a momentary switch so I can have everything on at once or off at once if passing a car. I think I am going to rewire it so the red ring is on all the time rather than just when the lights are on. Need to bend the bracket just a bit more so its in easier thumb reach.

Can i recommend protecting all that awesome gear with some actual barkbusters? The oem guards are superb on wind and rain but break easily. Many cases of them breaking on a drop and then also having clutch reservoir damage or lever damage.

With your grips + controller + custom wiring...definitely consider barkbusters.

Above: OEM vs Barkbusters. The oem guards are actually flexible and bend easily off the bike.

Ive had BB's on my last few bikes. The thing I loved about them was being able to remove the plastic in the summer for air flow while still retaining the tip over protection. If I had designs on keeping the bike Id go with them again. Plan on moving to a gen 2 bike at some point next year.

Changed spark plugs and air filter on my 2015 S Tenere with 20K mi. First time doing plugs for this novice mechanic; anxiety wore off after getting the easy plug out. (Credit Bill Pacheco YouTube vid assist) Took it for a ride and runs great.

After 4 and a bit years and 30 something thousand miles, I treated it to a coolant change. About an hour and £16 later, all done.

Used Yamacoolant, just a tad under two litres. Very easy job if anyone is thinking of doing it, the only bolt removed, is 10NM when re-tightening.

Next - oil & filter and driveshaft oil change. But they’re another lockdown day job.

I am sure the coolant drain and refill procedure is on this site somewhere , but I havent looked it up and I dont have a service manual yet , so could you post a pic of the location of that drain bolt? Thanks.
