Importation thibault is the Canadian distributor for Givi/Kappa products. Look at their catalogue online by visiting their website.

motorcycle-and-motocross.

I bought at a local shop, but Fortnine has the product if you prefer to shop online. Around $130. Price in the catalogue is incorrect.
Pg 181 has the different mounting kits, pg226 for the box.
I don't have Givi racks so the kits would be no use to me. I also wanted to make my own mount.

i have had some bad luck with two new front tires and wound up with with a new Mitas E07+ on the rear and a K60 scout on the front. I REALLY LIKE this combination. the bike on the roads turns in so predictable and is very stable and line changes mid corner are a breeze! I have corner confidence in this bike i have never had before even with street tires. Just works for me. Also i added a Booster Plug to the thing just to try it. I will say it has not solved all issues but the bike is so much better it is staying on there. It idles better but has not solved the issue of dipping to a low idle at times. But pulling out from that idle is way better and much more predictable. Roll on at any speed or rpm is much better and engine even sounds better during that phase of riding. Steady throttle at any speed requires just a bit less throttle to hold the same speed. Even the issues i had with throttle blips on down shifts are gone. I am definitely happy with both changes!

I put a new set of Tourance Next tires on my bike today. I don't remember the rubber bits in the rear hub being a problem the last time I did this, but they did not cooperate today. It's a bummer getting the axle through and then seeing one of the rubber bits on the floor. :)
At least the de-mounting and mounting on the rims went well.
Since I had the HF tire changer out, I mounted a new tire on my F150's spare (the original 28 year old spare blew apart a while ago - never even used, just old).

Covered the bike with fiberglass dust putting this new keel on the kayak I picked up for Karens' birthday.
Downsides: Itchy fiberglass dust everywhere and poor bike!
Upside: Being retired so can do this.

She's been paddling a 12 ft blue plastic boat for years and always wanted something faster and lighter. Longer and narrower are faster so this is a slim 13 ft glass Phoenix (30-ish year old kit boat) that weighs less and will have a slick epoxy bottom. She doesn't have a deep stroke so the keel will help waste less energy.

How are you going to mount it to the bike to get it down to the water?

Following a wet trip yesterday to the Yorkshire dales (which British bikers will know well) I changed the air filter which had 12k miles on it and quite dirty. Commute to work today and maybe it’s the imagination but it’s running so well. Next job will be the brake and clutch fluid change and then new tyres, been looking at Michelin anakee adventures.

In my experience, air filters on these bikes are done by 10k miles. I only ride on tarmac, and just your usual British and European country/mountainous/alpine stuff, but the air filter does seem to get dirty fairly quickly and way before the 24k miles recommended in the service manual.
Don’t forget to cycle the ABS pump when changing the brake fluid.

I must say I'm very unhappy with the anakee adv tiers.
I feel the grip on the road is not so good.
Before i had the turance next that was excellant on the road.

Retired is the operative word! So much to do and so little time!

Installed a Hepco & Becker rear brake reservoir guard.
Pretty robust piece of metal (I think stainless steel), the fitment is spot on with just 2 bolts and a retaining bracket
but it was a bit fiddly getting the bolts blindly lined up in the bracket. Believe it or not I wanted this more for protecting the rear brake
fluid reservoir from when I ride on the roads in and around the NYC area. The Michelin Anakee Adventures I am currently
running really like to pick-up and chuck rocks, debris, etc., etc..

Agree. I’ve been running Tourance Next for about 10-12k now, they’re very good.

I'm running my second set of Tourance Next, first set was installed by the previous owner and was told they only had 300 miles on them but 5k miles later this is what the front tire looked like. (aprox miles 5.5k)

Either he lied about the front tire having only 300 miles when I purchase the S10 or got a bad tire on the front. I'm giving Metzeler another shot with tires purchased by me, so I'm 100% how many miles they will be getting as I monitor its wear. (rear still was in good shape but changed it to do the full experiment)

Ran both sets on the recommended pressure of 33psi front, 42psi back as I weight 290 pounds. So far the 2nd set with ~1700 show little to no sign of wear.

I was surprised just how dirty it was, will change every 10k now. Thanks for the heads up on the abs pump.

Too low of pressure on the front. I weigh 270-280 and you need to bump that to 36 to get better life and less cupping. I've been running 36/42 for a long time as I found that to be the sweet spot on larger bikes for me, regarding tire wear. Yes, I know what the manual says. But we're like two up plus compared to the skinny Japanese guy that wrote that.

I don’t note the mileage between tyre changes, however I reckon I get around 7k miles out of a set of Tourance Nexts.
