With all that is going on with our family I took the bike to a local dealer for the valves at 33,000 miles (yes late), then they got shut down for COVID19. My bike got stuck. Luckily, the head wrench went in and did my bike so I picked it up today. Three of the four exhausts needed adjustment. Including time for R&R the Altrider skid plate and slightly bent crash bars, it was almost 9 hours of labor but they charged for 6.
Were you experiencing anything they made you think to do this or just because of mileage?

They outlawed riding here for the next few months (years probably) unless necessity like getting groceries. My summer is done, so for the first time put the super tenere under a cover and put all my riding equipment away. Looks like the end of riding around here at least for this summer. Only people working or doing anything in Denver are 1,000,000 illegal mexicans building 10,000 new apartment buildings. Virus restrictions do not apply or effect them.
Very sad to hear this, riding is outlawed.
Will the police stop you if they catch you out riding?

removed jesse racks, nelson rigg saddle bags, waterproof duffle, removed alt rider passenger rack and copy cat tail rack, installed oem top box rack, relocated tools, 1st aid kit, air pump to the front of the bike, added some high viz stickers to parts of bike.
Hey I'm all for hi-viz anything so the cagers will hopefully see you.
Just be careful with the hi-viz stickers.
I had an Africa twin bike, black in colour so I added several viz stickers. When it came time to sell it, I had to remove the stickers which had baked on in the sun.

New front brake pads (EBC HH Sintered) at 40, 000 miles. The rear was changed to EBC HH Sintered at 16, 000 miles and still look like new. Also had the Mitas E07 Dakar tires dismounted and remounted with different tire lube to stop the leaks. They buffed the inside of the rims too. The front tire (not a +) would go to 0 psi in a couple of days. The back tire (a +) would drop a couple of pounds in 2 weeks. Per the tire tech there was spot on the rim about 1/3 of the way around that was leaking. The tire tech also said they have had issues with other Mitas doing the same thing. Having them sit for weeks on end, doesn't help. I guess I need to get out more, even with the stay at home in effect.

Mine made my reflector bulge out. I took it off. Looks like I need to make some sort of brace to keep it from moving inward. The one brace on mine is kind of flexible.
Talk me through your thought process here, because I think I might need to do the same. Someone mentioned that the saddlebag braces might be causing turbulence, which is why the exhaust did happen to flow over the fender enough to melt it.

NO they have not outlawed riding here in Colorado, and NO they will not stop you to ask.............................a bit of misinformation and overreaction there.
Ok great...I'm in Ontario Canada and have been out riding about seven times this season.
Maybe go out this afternoon, but there's no where to go.

I’ve got mine turned a little in the mount. I’m thinking some kind of support that mounts to my pannier frame to keep it from moving in towards the fender. B3CB7555-6AA0-477F-8D38-6FBAB9FFEDCB.jpeg

Aftermarket exhaust. Can the hanger be shimmed out a bit? I know on mine you can accidentally hang the muffler on the inside of the bracket vs the outside where it clears everything fine.

I'm going to take it all apart in the near future, see if I can point it out a little more. It's perfectly vertical, needs a cant.

replaced old touratech top rack that had broken its mounts for a new TT that surprisingly been redesigned in a more robust mounting bracket set up....then remounted top box.
