Where did you get the fender extender? pics? part number?

I put one on the KLR650, then the Tiger 800XC, and I would like to follow suit on the S-10.

I'd like a hugger as well, but I don't think that would be easily done :(
Hi TxCodeMonkey,

I have a Gen 2 2014 ES, I ordered a Pyramid hugger about a year ago, in the same colour as the bike, Yamaha blue. You could also get it in plain black, carbon fibre look, our if you where prepaired to wait 10-14 days they would paint it for you, from your own paintcode colour. If like myself you have the genuine Yamaha " Akrapovic " exhaust fitted you will also need a special spacer piece that has to be fitted to stop it touching in a couple of places. Its a touch fiddly, and a very close fit.
I have also fitted a front mudguard hugger, which certainly stops, a lot of the road spary from the front of the bike. I can't be certain but I'm thinking the hugger was about £150-00 delived in the bikes colour, all painted. Its a great colour match.
Sorry I'm not at home, for another week, away on our narrow boat, if you would like a picture just let me no.
Just had a thought about if you have big knobbly tyres fitted, it might touch, maybe ?

Added the last part of the Ravetech bash plate/sump guard...some above posts reference the fender extenda, this is a similar idea, done in a different way.
Initially I didn't order this part as I thought I would make one up myself, had made a cardboard template, but when I priced up some aluminium and the work involved (which is minimal, but work takes my time) it was almost the same price and time as ordering it from Thailand...the last couple of days of rain have proved that it works.View attachment 60196
What happens when a fender extender gets stuck behind a skid plate after hitting a decent pot hole:
That's one thing nice about the Ravetech set up, the smooth front doesn't provide any place for a fender extender to catch. I have the same skid-plate and splash guard on my '15 along with a fender extender. I've bottomed the front end a few times with no consequences.

There was a rider that use a Burgman windshield on his ST so I got to looking around to see what I had.
I found a shield from a Rifle fairing my Dad used on his K75 and it fit perfectly. Looks similar to a Parabellum.

Test riding was a pleasure, a smooth quite air pocket. Later that day on the interstate I noticed the Semi’s were blowing me around where I didn’t notice that with the stock screen.

Turned out it wasn’t the screen, I was riding on a soon to be rear flat tire.

I use Garmin’s TPS and the rear one was intermitting so I took it off, getting ready to return it. Would have come in handy if it worked properly.
Another disappointment from Garmin at the worst time.
Fix my flat tomorrow on a tire that maybe has less than 2000 miles left on it......or shop for new.

I had read about the possibility of this, however I run the standard small plastic skid plate and never ride off road. Post fitting, it looks extremely unlikely that the two parts will ever come into contact with each other.

This was done over the last week. Mostly waiting on parts. First I bought some supplies from cycleterminal.com to build my own harness for three extra circuits. This works off of switched power through a 20 amp relay and a fuse block. One for the AUX light, one for a new GPS and phone charger, and one for heated jacket and seat. Only one of the circuits is being used as of today for the AUX light. Waiting on new GPS. I've been using my phone on a RAM mount, but it blocks the ST counsel. Waiting on the Garmin to arrive on Monday to wire it in. Will be purchasing the heated jacket as a X-mas present for myself and will wire that in as well. Added the SW-Motech GPS mount. Also, replace the switch for the AUX light. harness1.jpgharness2.jpgharness3.jpgmount 1.jpgmount 2.jpgswitch.jpg

Heated gear draws a decent amount of power, ~15A for a full setup neck to toes setup. Because of that I have always run the lead directly to the battery, more peace of mind that way.

No need to have it on switched power since the lead automatically disconnects when I get off the bike.

Not a fan of running things directly from the battery, prefer going with switched power through a relay. Figured about the same amps, but that would only be for extreme cold riding, which I've never really done. Living in FL, the coldest I'll ever ride in is around 50 degrees, so I only need a vest, gloves and seat which is around 10 amps total with the heat turned all the way up. It would add another 5 amps with pants and socks, but I don't even have that gear.

Fixed my flat that had a nail in the center of the tire.
Very strange, an inch and a half finishing nail that went in backwards.

Parked it, killing it with the side stand. About an hour later, when I went to leave, realized I left the key on and battery was well drained. Thanks to a couple helpful gents, and a fortunate hill, performed my first ST bump start.

I've done that a bunch of times. I usually do it in the scorching sun alone out in the boondocks. I finally got a antigravity xp3. It fits perfect under an Altrider rack.

Interesting on the XP3, what are the dimensions and weight on that? Plenty of starting power? (It indicates it will start a car?!) I have a Happy Trails rack with the space filled with tools and air compressor. I'd have to change something. How often do you refresh the charge?

Changed the oil and sent a sample to Blackstone. I feel the oil in my bike looks pretty dark pretty quickly. Hope it’s all ok.

AntiGravity XP-3 I have an older version. The current one is 6 x 3 x 1 inches and weighs 15 oz. The bag with all the stuff is a little larger. The old version came with a wall and cig port charger. The current ones only come with a USB cable for charging, so you need an adapter. Mine typically stays charged enough to start a car for 3 months or so. I used it many times to jump start my F150 4.6L V-8. It would usually fire it up 3 times before I needed to charge it more. Depended on if cold or not. If hot, might get more from it. I've done the wife's BMW a couple of times, no issues.
