Changed the sparkies. Looks like it was ready for some too!

Looks like water has made it past the coil.. Ive seen this before, you might want to add some sealant around the top of each coil to prevent water from entering down the spark plug tube and also possibly damaging the coil. Ive started doing this and has worked perfectly.

Jjc1957, I find the Anakee 3 a better tire than what came on the bike. And for my riding style, I think very appropriate. I don’t go trail riding or hard off-road but do consider all roads fair game. Of course, if raining I would probably skip taking dirt roads. One more thing, I haven’t tried a lot of different tires so not a lot of comparison data.

New rear brake pads last night at ~18,500 miles. Waited a little longer than I probably should have. Interestingly, the new OEM pads I bought have a slightly different shape to the pad material. Old left, new right:

Shipped my front wheel off to Woody's for a repair.

I clobbered it on a rock in a creek crossing on the MABDR last October.

I should have done it sooner rather than the beginning of spring, but I thought it was OK to ride on. It had a bit of a vibration and lost 6psi/day so I figured I better get it sorted.

Should have it back the week after next.

Installed my new Givi crash guards today , Easy install , except for the pesky little screw that attaches on the middle brace.
Next up will be finding the source of my leaking front tire.IMG_0583.JPG

Check with soapy water around the bead. My front tire developed a minor leak in the bead after 5,000 trouble free miles. I am still mystified since it did fine on Colorado Mountain passes and an Iron Butt. And then, months later, parked in the garage, all of a sudden the front is at 30 PSI, and it loses about 5 PSI/week

When I spoke to the folks at Woody's about my banged up wheel, they suggested getting a can of bead sealant and using that after they fix my wheel.

I got this Slime brand for $16 on Amazon.
Slime 10137 Bead Sealer, 32 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HFLIN92/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XT7HCb99BDSEN

Woody's got my wheel yesterday. Just over $200 to straighten and true my wheel.
They should have it shipped by the end of the week.

And there you have it , A leaky bead / rim ! A bit surprised , due to it being a 2017 with only 6500 miles. Thought for sure that It would be the valve stem.

Although I gave your picture a like, actually don't like, what I see that is.

From experience, I've learned you need to really scrub the wheel rim beads when mounting tires, to remove any residual gunk. I seem to have more issues with the front for some reason.

Did this just happen right after mounting, or like mine, several thousand trouble free miles later? I thought it was the latter.
