I added extended lines from RideOnADV and some Protaper Contour Raptors. In the process, I discovered that the right side heated grip was broken and needs to be replaced.

Well, crash bars certainly need a good break in period, sorry to hear about the brush with the law.
It was all good. The officer was great. He checked out my bike, said he rode a bike and said have fun breaking it in, just watch your speed and let me go.

I had all the insurance, registration, license, motorcycle endorsement on my drivers license, etc. and that never hurts.

Installed Battlax A41 tires. First tire change on the S10, at 9,000 miles. Lubed the output splines with some moly grease. Follow the instructions and discussion on the procedure found on the forum. Worked out. Well, I need to do a test run. Probably Thursday once this damn rain stops for a bit.

Mounted a Mitas E07+ on the rear today. The regular and Daker E07 tires are no longer available in pur sizes, but these new E07+ come in Standard and Dakar versions too. I just went with a standard... easy enough to put on with the HF changer and Mojo Lever.

Reworked how my top box connects to the bike. Added two rubber bumpers to account for vibration and added a third bolt. Also put some foam in the bottom of the box to keep gear away from the mounting bolts.

5$ trash can handguard extensions. Perfect for the colder morning weather coming up. Looks "ok" but for the price, i'll live with it,

Also showing my Touring VStream, ebay bar risers and Tracer 900GT(narrower) handlebars I installed last week.

Got my 1st service completed (did it myself) and gave her a wash.

Installed Barkbusters and SPOT 111 tracker.

Funny how you put off giving them there 1st wash, doesn't make them brand new any more I reckon.

Only a couple of things left to finish her off.

Did an oil change and final drive oil change today. I was dreaming of a bike lift as posted above as my knee's been bothering me.

loftybob, I want your bike

Had a super annoying creak/squeak at the clutch lever. Took it apart, lubed the pivots, still noisy...

Ended up being the clutch switch, and not the pin that is engaged by the lever, but inside the switch itself. Split the switch, which of course caused it to grenade, found the pieces, put it together, lubed it up, finally no more squeak. So a ten minute job, became a ninety minute job.

These tires are really tuff. If I remember right , this tire had almost 13k miles on it. Still had more miles to go.
Why why why did they stop making this tire?!?! (Yeah yeah yeah....no money in a tire that wears this long!) Hope those Tractionators prove a good replacement. I've read about some chunking recently...

I have run 3 sets of the MOTOZ Tractionators without a hint of cracking or chunking. Just make sure your road pressures are good after you air down for sand/gravel/ mud

What road pressures and mileage are you getting out of a rear?

Thank you.

Ripped off my exhaust in preparation for a Yoshi R4 on it's way, and extracted my ECU to ship to avc8130 for a reflash. Just wish I had the scratch for the Arrow headers, but that will have to wait...

Fitted a set of DP sintered rear pads. Dealer did not have the OEMs in stock and I was down to well less than a mm on the outer pad. They feel ok so far, should improve as they bed in. No funny noises or other issues. Any experience with these? The OEM ones do seem to wear the rotor pretty bad (50,000+ miles) and dump a lot of brake dust. There's already a ridge around the perimeter of the rotor. Wonder if these will be worse or better in either respect?
