I will take a picture of them later today. I went with the following parts:
Kuryakyn Trident ISO Pegs Small with Adapter Black - 7560
Kuryakyn Short Magnum Peg Mount - Gloss Black - 7573
Drag Specialties Three-Piece Frame Clamp
Thanks! I would appreciate that. So all of the parts above for both pegs looks like it would be closer to $110ish? That is a little more reasonable. Let me know how you like them.

As a side note with the above setup I found that the clamps would allow the pegs to slowly rotate down with pressure on the pegs. To make the clamps tighter to the crash bars I put a layer of tape around the bars under the clamps.

I really like the looks and idea of that, but I went out to try and mimic that and can't see how that is comfortable. Either my legs are too short or too long.

After riding a Harley Road Glide they looked odd to me on the adv bikes too. Sitting on the bike I find that I can put my feet on them or put my feet over them and rest them on the backs of my heels. I have found on a long trip as long as you have a way to shift your position every once in awhile it makes a huge difference. Many times I find I ride with only one foot on the highway pegs at a time. Anything to change up the pressure points on your rear end. I won't know how these are going to work out until the weather up here improves enough to get out and use them. Who knows I may have to rotate the clamps around so the pegs are below the bars. Time will tell.

I am so excited for my next mods to my bike that I'd like to announce it before I have the parts. I will of course take pics.

1) Michelin Anakee 3 F and R
2) Wind protection in the form of a wider windshield and other bits to make wind better.
3) Arrow headers, Akropovic exhaust and ECUnleashed flash
5) Rear wheel hugger. Front Extenda Frnds
6) Rebuild forks with Progressive springs/SKF seals
7) Touratech Explorer Pro rear shock
8) Too case. Still deciding which

I'd advise against a fenda extender on the front guard if you are going to ride gravel roads/offroad. Mine got torn off after hitting a large pothole - suspension compressed putting the fender extender behind the bash pad and then tearing it off once things got back into shape. Cracked the front guard too - I must get it fixed one day...

I sold it.
My 2012 went to its new home today after 133,200 km of trouble free, reliable service. Took me from Prudhoe bay AK to Mexico with most everywhere in between.
So hopefully my new to me 13 will continue on in its place till maybe, just maybe Yamaha gives the Tenere a refresh providing a suitable replacement.

The almost twins

Off to its new owner

Hello all,

this is a repost from the other thread of upgrading to brembos on my S10

here are some details..

Master Cylinder is a Brembo RCS19
Calipers are Brembo GP4RS 108mm (4x30mm pistons) with Z04 Sintered Pads
Brackets are from 98-03 R1/ 06~ FZ1
(bracket fitment is 95% good just that need a 1mm spacer on upper caliper screw and a 3mm spacer on lower caliper screw.)

Fitment is a direct bolt on plug and play.

After bedding in the pads, the stopping power is phenomena.. 1/3 of the effort to brake ( i had the RCS19 fitted a couple of years back already). Very good stopping power from low mid and high speeds. Initial bite is very strong as can be expected from larger pads and high friction material. at speeds of 150km onwards the energy conversion is tremendous -> the speed bleeds off very very quickly but very controllable.

Brake feel is very solid and firm with no mushyness (i believe the master cylinder and calipers are a good fit)

weight wise the calipers feel (i havent weigh them yet) much lighter than the stock ones.

Over all i feel they are a very good investment and upgrade especially if one loads up the bike and go touring or if you have a pillion.. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to improve their brakes on the S10 :)

safe journeys all :)))

One reason a flexible one might be better, that wouldn't have happened!

I added these little convex mirrors to my side mirrors and it made a world of difference.

I did too, but didn't want to impede the view of the main mirror too much.

I thought that might be an issue but the mirrors I picked out were small enough not to impede the other view too much. Also I didn't mean to post my pic upside down.

I bought some brackets and moved my Piaa LED lights from below the headlights to out on the crash bars. I like the wider look verses all the lights being clustered together in one spot. I also changed out the 194 running lamps to LED bulbs.

The other thing I did was move my phone mount to allow me to mount my GPS on the accessory bar where the phone was before. I was using a Techmount for my phone which I really like but moving it to the bars will not allow me to raise it high enough when my tank bag is on. I ordered a Ram phone mount but did not like it. So I did some research and found a company that sells a 1" Ram ball to 17mm Techmount ball adapter. I also did not like the options Ram had for mounting to the 1 1/8" bars. I do not like the U bolt clamps at all and the nice ones like I bought for my GPS mount only come in 3 sizes. The one to fit the 1 1/8" bars goes up to 1.5" so it is rather large. I took apart my Techmount and found if I could find a 1" Ram ball with either 3/16" or M10 stub on the end I could fill the threads with JB weld and then file a groove in it for the locking screw. It worked like a charm, now I have a nice compact mount when nothing is attached to it and I can use 3 lengths of Ram arms to raise either my phone or camera to the height I need.
As for Mounting the GPS it was straight forward. I mounted the ball facing forward to keep the GPS as close to the accessory bar as possible to reduce load and vibrations. I ran the wires down with the main harness that comes up to the lights and into the electrical panel. I then soldered the wires in with the feed off of the plug for the driving lights. I am taking power off of the switched wire that goes to the trigger switch for the relay to turn on the lights. Both the switch to trigger the relay and the GPS use minimal amperage. It is nice when you turn on the key the GPS automatically turns on and then goes to sleep when the key is turned off.
Now if it will ever stop snowing up here maybe we can start riding our bikes. We are having a very late spring this year. :(

The RH running light was blown, so as it's a PTA to get to, I decided to change them both. I fail to see what pupose they serve, they don't add any extra night illumination and are not on the extremity of the bikes width, so what are they there for

I wondered in some countries if they were used for daytime running lights. I also don't see them as being of any use.

Parking lights.
But agree, make not so much sense, because you can't have them on, unless the key is in, and ignition on.
Would make sense, if they also could be turned on, when ignition in "Parking", where turnsignal and hazard can be turned on.
Maybe in some part of the world it is possible?
