Do you use JIS screwdrivers on the screws?
Since you mentioned JIS previously, I had to go look it up, so I doubt any of mine meet that Japanese Industrial Standard. I do have a "pretty good" long tip that has served me well. (Probably why I over righted last time.) I did not push it when the screws resisted. I went to the manual impact driver which really did the trick after all these years, with a newer #2 tip. I do have a battery powered impact driver that I could have used to but wanted a little more finesse. Next time I buy tips/drivers, I will look at upgrading.

Well, today I made my Super Tenere an orphan after selling my Tenere 700……….this is the first time since the fall of 1991 that I have owned only one motorcycle. I have owned 2-5 bikes at one time in the last 31 years……..sold my Tracer 900 GT last summer and now the Tenere 700 as I am going back to two bikes in the garage. A new BMW R1250GS is the top pick……

One of the best engines I have ever owned (87 motorcycles over 51 years of riding), but it always felt top heavy and too tall to me. I am 6’4” and to fit I purchased the tall Rally seat which is 41 mm taller and some lowered SW Motech foot pegs. I felt like I was riding a motocrosser. It wasn’t any more nimble than my Super Tenere and at this point in my riding career, I don’t want a bike with inner tubes or with out cruise control.

Thanks for the reply. The one with the bigger tank will be even worse then.

I dropped off my bike at the dealership to get my recalls done. Since they will be in there that deep, they are going to do my valve check and install my new Graves manual CCT. Should get it back tomorrow afternoon.

Can you tell by looking? Kit tip in the middle. Other #2's on either side.

I’d say middle and right look like JIS, the bit on the left can’t tell for sure, def not pozi so maybe phillips. Does it have any markings on it?

Huh wait what?! The centre one is known as pozidriv. And the two outer ones are Philips 1&2 where I come from. Both versions have the type 1,2 and 3 (different sizes, same version ).

Milwaukee #2 (Home Depot). I did order a pair of #2 JIS tips. It sounds like the JIS works fine for normal Phillips screws, so why not have them.
