Serious maintenance day today....bled brakes, changed oil both ends, replaced a blown fuse in my PC-8, adjusted spotlights....

Might even wash it tomorrow ;)

Then get it dirty: - 5,000+km trip next week :)

Hi, my lights are small legs brought off ebay, I made ten of these lights at once and had some components at home, you will need some M6 bolts and nuts but main components are below from ebay.

Best thing to do is get the led's first and play around with a way of clamping them, have hard wired mine with a fuse direct through the live feed to the accessory socket so they come on with the ignition, give me a shout if you have questions, I have plenty of time as we are still not allowed out in the UK except for shopping and exercise.

Great, thanks! That is what I thought, reason why I ask!

I share that I had made my top box for my S10 , here is a photo of the top case I made with leds like the ones you used.
You can see the stop leds as well as the directional led too.

The leds stop work in the flashing mode and the original stop light is steady, and directional are synchronized with the directional lights.

I'm led fan too, as you can see here the original turning lights where replace in the front and in the rear and this is how the rear look like!

The front and rear directional are sequential (yellow, as seen in the photo capture half way full yellow) I think they can be seen much better!

The kind of led you used are like mine and they are very bright, small size, not expensive, $$$ very cheap (no!) I would say MUCH less expensive!
Have nice weekend.
Regards.

The top one, I used dabs of hot glue to hold it in place. Then black silicone. The bottom one is a friction fit. It wedges in there pretty good. Both seem pretty snug. I didn’t want to drill any holes or do anything I couldn’t undo if I don’t like it.

I did the same with mine using the same gutter guard couple years ago and I also did the bottom one with friction fit but it never stays in place and I'm going to come up with a good way to attach it. I was like you that I don't like to drill holes and whatnot

I’ve done the same on my cars but started having trouble finding it in Home Depot near me. I can always try Lowe’s or McMaster-Carr.

Is it actually steel or aluminum?

I’m guessing it’s aluminum and the label showing steel is for the color which means it’s coated and less prone to corrosion.

Got the top box mounted. Centered on the bike seemed best as the Givi panniers allow the lids to completely come off so while the top box covers the right box a bit it still opens pretty easy.
