Installed a nearly brand new Givi 30L Trekker Dolomiti top case that I bought over at the Flea Market on the ADV Rider forum.
Also bought and installed the Givi S10 specific monokey aluminum tail rack that I ordered directly from Givi USA.
Two really nice pieces of farkle:

Fitted new air filter pods (cleaned the last pair in petrol there was some damage on the foam hence the change). Note the crank case breather filter the dealer just throw it in the bottom of the air box is in it's correct position!

These are uni- filters and fitted to all Australian s10's the dealer didn't read the directions so it might be a good idea to check that they have fitted to the breather and that they are cleaned as per the directions.

I just finished torquing the last bolt on the bike on my first tire change. Original Battlewings lasted 13748 miles. I could have squeezed another 1500-2k out of the front. No odd wear or bumps. Rear was flat and just about to hit the wear bars.
Spooned on some Michelin Road 5 Trail. Ill keep everyone posted if anyone is interested. Have a great ride everyone.

I'd appreciate your feedback on how these tires are doing?! I'm getting ready for a new set myself... thank you!

Had a red samco hose and breather kit fitted and a coolant change.

the bike is 7 yr old now the mechanic would not believe the coolant had never been changed it was beautiful blue as the new coolant was

24000 miles
Just curious - Did you buy the "special" hose clamps or did you use normal worm clamps?

Thanks!

Threw a set of protaper Evo Adv bars on with Heli riser. Hoping to get a ride in later but definitely seems like it was money well spent. Need to get a tap I didn't remember to order that.20200314_124749.jpg

Let me know how you like that combo. I'm considering putting the protaper evo edv bars on my Helirisers as well. I just need a tiny bit more pullback so I don't hunch forward on longer rides.

I was having wrist pain and wanted more pull back the risers gave me the pull back and the protapers seemed to fix my wrist but brought back my elbow pain seems like I'm trading one for the other. The sweep angle is less on the protapers so it didn't bring the bars as far back as the stocks were in just the heli risers. But they are taller so you could angled them back a bit as long as you have the cable length to do so.

Um... my 2015 Gen 2 came with stock filter.
Alot of Aussie Gen 1's were fitted with them before they were shipped to dealers. My Gen2 did not.

But if you order replacement S10 air filter from Yamaha you get the Yamaha bagged Uni-Filters for cheap! I think I paid $54 and Uni-Filter want $85+

I did not like the breather foam how it a slip fit. even with a zip tie it comes off with a light touch - heaven forbid you do any bumpy riding and you dont know if it has popped off - sounds like yours might have popped off!
I added about 8cm PVC tube and cranked that down tight to the airbox nipple and the foam is now tight and secure.

These tires have been fantastic. I rode in some extr8wet conditions over the summer on a trip to North Carolina. We probably should have pulled over sooner but I never felt the motorcycle behave in a way that caused concern. We were riding very conservatively in the conditions but they worked great. Also, they are very confidence inspiring. I'm not a knee dragger by any means but I find myself being more aggressive than I was with the Battlewings. I have a little over 6,000 on these and they're just starting to square in the rear. Nothing in the front. If I get another 5-6 thousand out of them, I will be very happy. Hope this helps.

The crash bars from Heed were delivered today. Very well packed and given the disruptions with CV-19,very quick delivery too. The build quality looks superb and they were straight forward to fit. Just need to remount my aftermarket horns and auxiliary lights, then I'll be ready to go out...unless we're in lockdown.
