One of the good things about the s10. I had planned on riding the bike to a meeting an hour away then riding down to the gulf coast. I pushed the bike out of the garage and noticed something was wrong. Flat tire. I was already behind so I took the 690 instead and plugged the tire when I got back. Didnt make it to the coast.

(I found out yesterday, that the right hand side heatergrip, is actually 5mm shorter than original. Currently in contact with Yamaha dealer...)
Do you by chance have a picture of the OEM grip and one you purchased side by side. That is really strange. BTW, thanks again for the part numbers. That is really helpful and cheaper than buying the kit. I wonder if the more expensive kit has the longer grip in it?

Replaced my stock battery with the Xtreme AGM Z14S (Batteries Plus) after some sluggish starting on cold mornings or if I leave the Garmin in it's cradle overnight. Shame, as the Yuasa YTZ12 is only 3 years old. The thought of having to push this beast to start it was always in the back of my mind and I don't always carry the AntiGravity battery pack.

Ill give that 1 a shot if my YTZ 14 I just threw in goes flat. Weird how these Teneres act with low battery volts. Mine was having a serious bout of "no starts". It always cranked fine, but needed a throttle and multiple tries.

After 4 years/106.000 km with the bike, I needed a change...

Spend some time last year looking for a bike to replace my T12, but didn't manage to find something that suits my needs better or put a bigger smile on my face.

Plan B - do some changes to my T12.
I've now installed +20 mm riser links, done the flat-seat-mod, installed lower bigger foot pegs and adjusted the controls accordingly (still need to adjust the headlights).
Besides that I've treated the bike with a new YTZ 14 battery - the old one was in good shape, but I would like to have a bit more starting power.

Looking forward to spring and a chance to try out the mods.

In the fall I sold my Holan rack and panniers as I want to try out soft luggage, so come spring I'll get Moske Moto Reckless 80.

You are welcome :)
I actually bought it as a set (picture attached), and inside the set, was these 5 numbers. (2 grip, 2 cable tie, 1 small screw, 1 plastic cable "holder")
And yes, it is very strange, local Yamaha dealer did not have any clue... at least not today.
It is 6mm shorter.

Yeah, something up there. My kit both grips were gray. That black one is the stepchild from another bike.

Gonna grab some of those links. Any suggestions on the place to grab em? Like choice B! Great choice!

Yes, but could it be that design, that ALL heatet grips to S10 have??? I don't know...never seen one with OEM heatet grip...
The original is (of course) NOT heatet...bike left Yamaha without that.
I just did the kit on mine. The gray is the correct. The black is wrong. They have the same pattern. I can snap pic if u need em. Dont forget the right mirror is reverse thread.... I fuggard mine before I figured it out.

Just to clarify:
The gray is the new heatet grip mountet on handlebar, the black is the OEM that of course is off now.
Thank you  so you also have more space between the handlebar weight and the rubber, now you have the heatet grip?
(picture would be perfect, but not a must, only "nice to have" :p

Mirror?? I dont have to touch the mirror, but thanks;)

Cut your little finger, it's cheaper than resending it for exchange or a refund:):)

I ordered Motorwerks cruise peg mounts and pegs for my 27mm SW Motec crash bars.
Very costly parts, but simply the best alternative for a multi adjustable, slick looking design.

You must have a gen 2. Gen 1 kit came with a different r/s mirror mount.

Gotcha, ya the OEM heated grips were a little bit shorter. I thought you had mixed grips.in the kit.

I do have aftermarket handguards, btw. 20200115_185803.jpg
