I hope your usb/volt meter lasts longer than mine. 3 months and it’s dead. Water must have rendered it junk. First the usb stopped working, then the voltmeter died. Mine was a cheap one off eBay.
Oh dear, mine was of eBay too. One thing I did notice is that it's difficult to see in sunlight...?

Yep same here. Mine was a plastic body and red leds. I see there are aluminum bodied ones for sale as well. I wonder if they hold up better.

The trick with Chinese stuff is to open it of you can and seal it before you install it.

Today,
  • I got the Find it Now (FIN®) transferred from the Honda CB650F to the S10. Now the baby is protected.
  • Rode the S10 around for 2 hours, aimlessly.
  • Gave the S10 a nice soapy bath
  • Put a blanket on top of her (Cover) and said till the morning.

@SeaBass - Try to keep that toxic soap off the bike! When you have a minute, put your location in your profile. It adds context to your posts and helps others give better answers if you have questions down the road. Good deal on the aimless riding. You find the best roads when you're wandering. :)

Friday I did the cheap seat mod to level the seat. Rode a couple hundred miles on Saturday, and it's a big improvement!

Yesterday, not today but it is done
  1. Added the Touratech WINDSHIELD ADJUSTMENT BRACKET WITH GPS MOUNTING BAR
  2. Installed SW-motech 40mm bar risers
  3. Installed AltRider Universal Joint Guard
Stepped back and admired my S10.

After installing a top box last year and changing how and where I carry weight when traveling, I though it was time to adjust the installed preload on my shock.
Added 5 mm more installed preload so it was closer to the minimum on the remote adjuster when commuting to work and now I can more easily reach the required setting when loaded for travel.
Also did an oil change and final drive oil change as well. I always change the rear gear oil when I do an oil change. I know it isn't needed, but it has always been more grey than I liked and it is only 200ml so why not. Finally after 20 000km the rear gear oils starting to come out clean.

Remembered I need to make another top plate or adapter for my shock spring compressor. Project for this winter I guess.

Ya, changed my oil and filter today along with the "pumpkin" gear oil. The old gear oil is a grey colour.
12,000 km so far, and I plan to change the gear oil and engine oil and filter every 6,000 km. Hmmm, that's just under every 4,000 miles if you prefer.
Oil is cheap, but engine parts and labour is very expensive.

I had a similar experience- only after 28,000 miles did I feel the rear gear oil finally came out clean.

You can always raise the front as well.
I used felt chair leg pad on the front supports and then added the appropriate amount of washers under the latch to compensate for the lift.
You can add to the support or just glue or stick something to the underside of the seat where they rest. I raised the front around 3/8 in addition to dropping the rear.

Ran my hand all the way down her topside, starting at the tip of her beakless face and ending where her rack supports my cargo load... ;)
