Yes, nice to know the bike is happy. I'm fortunate to be able to ride all year, and now retired, so more riding ahead. Used to average 20-40k a year, but moving, new jobs and life stuff really cut that back over the last few years.
I'm so envious of anyone who can ride year round. I think I was born in the wrong country.

No kidding.
Light snow again today followed by rain.
Rain again all day Friday.
Unbelievably unbelievable but believe it bad weather here in southern Ontario.
When retirement came, looking for below the snow line, and not in a place God hated, was high on the list. ;)

Yup, S. Ontario weather has been ugly. Saturday is looking promising.
Next Tuesday somewhat, riding my new Tenere to Hully for its first service.
I've got 700 km so far this season.
I bought some long johns from Mark's Work Warehouse and these keep the chill off my legs, along with several layers under my riding jacket. Although the heated grips are wonderful I have a pair of old O.P.P. issue leather fleece lined gloves that I put on over my armored riding gloves. Don't feel the cold at all.
An inexpensive fleece balaclava from Walmart beneath your helmet does wonders and greatly reduces the wind noise.
Stay warm, be safe.

Much of my riding season takes place in Ontario and I share your frustration. Going to Lake Nipigon this summer after the black flies.

My bro-in-law retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty and had seen the world. He said he wanted someplace warm where he could hold an alcoholic drink and watch scantily clad wiminz who weren't worried about their safety. That simple comment sure puts a number of filters on where to live.

fwiw, he ended up in Pensacola due to the support for Navy and ex-Navy.

I understand. I have a few retired Military friends in FL for similar reasons. Nice to be able to stay on base housing in Key West when you want to visit. Having access to good medical and an exchange is very nice. Not something I have, but hindsight is 20-20. Not sure I would have survived a full career in the Corps.

Rough ride yesterday, picked up this souvenir. It was still holding air until I pulled it out. Plugged for now untill I get it trailered home to Illinois. I think AZ pretty much killed this tire. I have one with a few miles left at home.

I'm with bnschroder, if you used a sticky string to plug it, just ride it. They bond to the rubber of the tire and will be fine.

That is how I plugged it, with the sticky cords. The rocks have taken several chunks out of some of the nobbies too, it looks pretty beat up. I'll ride it conservatively and see how it looks on some tamer roads.

just to get me a doubt, compare the light pattern of an H7 (cool blue), a H7 xenon, and an H7 led 8000lumens. I found why I do not achieve a good definition of light with LEDs.

That's interesting, but w/o the reflector in play, it's not a true representation of the light being output in front of the bike.

you are absolutely right, but like the lens of the s10, it is designed for halogen H7, if you look at the light pattern it is almost 360 degrees, but on the led, there are many dark spots, which the lens will not reflect. perhaps, by lowering the aluminum of the LED a little, the same pattern of the halogen H7 could be achieved. mine is because they look nice led / xenon light, dazzle, but in my case, high, was blurred

I recently won a Sena phone mount at a rally I just attended. While at the rally one of the other inmates showed me his gps he was using- a Kyocera DuraTough pro phone. It looked like a good setup. Waterproof, good battery, bright screen, and able to run gps with no service provider. And if in an emergency I can always call 911.

I came home and looked on a local classified page and found a used phone for sale 20 miles from me. Went and looked at it, and it was used, but in good shape. Took it home for $25.

I wonder if the style that doesn't have the "cap" on the end of the LED would work better. Not saying it will but might be worth giving a try. Sure you can find cheaper than this, but first one that popped up.

maybe, if I was traveling to Mars in a spaceship, it would not change anything, but at home .... new led light pattern, without the structure ... I think that by retouching the aluminum a bit, it would look like the H7 original halogen

LED bulbs in a reflector built for halogen does not necessarily increase lighting efficiency.
The halogen reflectors are purpose built.
I found this out the hard way by wasting money replacing halogen with LED in a Nissan Maxima.

I installed new halogen, 55watt amber H7 in the left side and a new halogen 55 watt Super white H7 in the right side on my Super 10 with excellent results. I did install 194 style LED bulbs in the parking light positions and in the license plate light. The front of the bike is much more conspicuous and the headlight reaches better at night.
