Exactly, my CBR doesn't have them and I usually don't forget to turn it off... but there are times. I also chuckle at those who tell me they always turn them off. They only seem to forget about them when I am riding with them!No self canceling turn signals is also a big issue for me, every motorcycle I owned since about 1981 came from the factory with self canceling turn signals, many riders claim they never forget to turn them off manually but you usually learn different when you go riding with them.
The Tenere factory headlights are definitely crap for night riding, they might have been acceptable back in the eighties but they sure weren’t in 2010 when the 1200 Tenere first came out.
Yes, that's the easy normal way. But after a while you can have 3 or 4 leads going to your battery and that's a pain. I chose to use battery lead extensions from Electricalconnection.com to keep excessive leads off of my battery. There are several aux fuse boxes on the market aimed at motorcycles. For solid state there is the PDM60 which is also very nice. I have California Heat electric gear and they are good. When I bought at a large motorcycle show they were the only ones whose sizes seemed to correlate with the normal shirt/jacket sizes. I tried on XL or 2XL at other vendors and it was a joke. Owner of CH looked at me. Hmmm, I think you'd fit an XL. Tried it on. Perfect fit! Same as my shirts. Are you running you heated jacket direct from the battery? Is this the normal way?
Am about to purchase a heated jacket and trying to understand power options.
TIA

I have been using the ST2 TURN SYSTEM for 4 years now, it works great.First ride report:
.... I was reminded about non-canceling turn signals... why in 2017? Does it really add much weight or cost these days??? At least I can see the signals if I forget. ...
I'd be interested to see where you are mounting an aux fuse box for battery connections.I do agree with the sentiment of keeping the actual battery hookups simplified.Yes, that's the easy normal way. CH also has on their website a good chart letting you know what kind of amperage you would be using so you can plan accordingly if you are going to use a fuse box. Heated gear... so nice. Extends your riding season and if touring out west it is a must in the mountains. It wasn't around when I started riding. Finally got some 8 years ago... and thought... why did I let the price tags scare me away for so long!

Look through this thread. It shows what I did with the extension leads. A fuse box would fit nicely under the seat though. If I start to put the grips on that will be exposed and I can post it up again if you'd like.I'd be interested to see where you are mounting an aux fuse box for battery connections.I do agree with the sentiment of keeping the actual battery hookups simplified.
Yes, they are in correctly. I took pics prior to disassembly and had the FSM to look at too. I'll take it apart and maybe rotate the fork tubes a tad bit to the left. Are you sure axle spacers in correctly?
On my Trail max mission tires I have a good finger width on each side to fender, and it is centred.

Yep, don’t name it. It’s a bike.Went for a test ride of 50 miles today and filled it with gas. Then put it on the trailer and it's waiting for me to go to Georgia tomorrow morning. 3 days of back trails... if it is turned into a slippery Georgia clay mess. Pics and video to come.
I don't usually name my bikes but since this is a Sandstone paint color... maybe I should call her Sandy? Any opinions?
