Is it 2BS-F83J0-V0-00?

Needing to get a taller one and I'm researching options.
The one on there now is 18 inches tall leading me to believe it's not the above part number.

I don't know about part number or what come stock on 2014.
But I really think it is the same as mine 2017, especially if all the other guys in here are correct, that mine also is a 2 gen. ;)
My screen is 450 mm (close enough to 18 inch)

I figured it out. Mine came with the standard windshield.
2BS-F83J0-V0-00 is the tall.

Judging by the reviews I've read on the forum, I need to get it and the winglets (2BS-F83M0-V0-00).

For the price (overall) you can't go wrong with the Yamaha tall windshield and the winglets. Both (all 3) items for about $200 and my wind management issues were solved. The winglets are expensive for what they are, but they do help. Are there better options out there? Yes, I am sure there are. BUT - for OEM stuff these things work pretty well.

Roger that.

And the OEM stuff looks better on the bike to me.

These have made a world of difference for me in going from my own Gen1 to Gen2 bikes.

I recently bought an OEM tall windscreen and winglets. I have to say that I am VERY happy with the results.

No more buffeting or excessive wind noise - and I'm 6-01 and ride with my seat up high.

The bike's nice aesthetics are retained also.

I wonder if at 6'3" if the tall screen with winglets will still work or if I need the Madstad 22"/24". Anyone have experience with both?

I'm 6'7" and have the gen2 with stock screen, madstad, winglets and a MRA flip up from an aftermarket vstrom screen. I can ride with my visor open up to 70mph, no buffeting.

I am 6’3” and ride with the seat in the low postion most of the time. With the OEM tall windscreen and winglets I get fantastic wiind protection at highway speeds and slower. With the seat in the high postion it doesn’t change much. Wind goes over my helmet with both seat heights, just more so in the low position.

Windshields and seats are kind of crazy items, what works great for one rider might seem pretty lousy to the next rider. My Tenere came with the tall windshield and a set of winglets, it worked ok but I was never really satisfied, after 35,000 miles I finally bought the tallest and widest VStream made for the Tenere, wow for me it was a major improvement, I should have bought one years ago ! It’s much quieter and I don’t have to clean bugs off my faceshield every time I fill up with gas.

Well said sir. My thoughts exactly. No one was more surprised than me to discover the stock tall windscreen and winglets would work as well as they do for me, but I am happy.

Now for a new seat....and with so many choices out there (and none of them cheap) I am hoping I get lucky with that choice also!
