What are you adding to you or your bike? It’s officially winter downtime here. Garmin had a $100 off sale on an inreach mini. So I picked one up.

There are huge gaps in cell phone coverage where I ride. Peace of mind.

I am pretty much done with adding accessories to my current bikes. I scored some pretty good deals on some gear for myself though. I picked up an Arai Classic V helmet for $250, a Klim Induction jacket for $250 and a pair of Tourmaster winter gloves for $50. Also, got $50 in gift cards from Revzilla for making these purchases. I don't think Santa is done shopping yet.

Santa is gifting my 2016 with Barkbusters, Skene aux light controller, Lightbar (flood pattern), Aux brake lights, folding clutch and brake levers. I should look into a inreach as well, we have huge gaps in cell coverage around here as well. Thanks for the tip on the $100.00 off since I haven't looked in a while.

Of course mine being a new bike I have a laundry list. So far I have added outback skid and bars. I have some panniers ordered from Happy Trails. They won’t be in till end of January sometime. He has some new panniers not finalized yet, so I am waiting for those to be ready. Planning a light bar for the front. That install will be after Christmas. I’ll end up changing out the pegs for more standing comfort. Looking at ims rally pegs. And I’ll end up with some hand guards with a metal back bone.

One last thing I have a rear spring and spacer on order should be an after Christmas install as well.

After 20+ years of figuring out gear issues and indulging my whims, I’m kinda burnt out. I’ve found gear that fits and works and god knows I don’t need any more gloves. This year I’ve resolved not to buy any more gear.
We’ll see if I can keep it up till spring. It’s a looong winter here.

Santa already dropped of a Klim Traverse Jacket and Paints and Leatt Airfit light body armor.
He told me to use this new gear when I ride my dirt bike and hang on to the Aerostitch gear for the Tenere.

Wait a minute. . . . IIRC. . . . yours isn't the only Tenere in the house. What's the other one going to be unwrapping? :D
So the wife is getting factory heated grips, wind deflectors, led headlight with extended caps, lied light bar, and a set of highway pegs. She’s pretty much has the rest set up the way she wants. Already has the factory low seat, rox risers, windshield wing, motech bars and factory skid plate. Then we put on the happy trails pannier, factory top box and an electric tank bag that mounts with the ring. That way nothing is touching the paint.

I have all kinds of camping gear to configure just the way I want for my travels when I heal up. I'm still trying to figure out what part of the CABDR I can safely do on the Super Tenere if any.

So my Christmas gear is stuff I already have and just make it work for off grid travel.

Same but for wabdr.

Contemplating a crf450 for the wabdr so i can do it right. I have no desire to run baby head hill on the tenere.

I have a Darien that use to be bright blue. It’s seriously faded as it should be for 12 years old.neat jacket but I abused me and it leaks now. I still use it when off pavement and not expecting lots of rain

I sure wish they would bring back that blue color. My red one is faded out to almost a pink color...still waterproof though.

I was using it dual sport riding with the factory pads out and a armored enduro top. It was ce rated with a hard shell on back shoulder chest and elbows. They scuffed the gore Tex lining causing it to leak. That just never crossed my mind or I would have wore a jersey over the armor. It’s totally on me. The armor was rockgardn flak jacket.

I will tell you what sucks is I lost one of the best gloves i have ever had. I have never lost a glove for my bikes in my life. I didn't wait for Santa though. I just got a new set in the mail. Of course i could not find the same glove but the new ones look good. I will see if long term they are as good as what i had.
