Thats a lot of seat time on any vehicle, never mind a motorcycle.
Just some back of the napkin math because I was curious.

Say he rides 500 miles average/day, that is 4 years, 3 months, of straight riding. On a ~7-8 year old bike if he bought it brand new, he has ridden every other day 500 miles on it. Crazy

If a Goldwing gets 50MPG (I have no idea of the real number), at $4 a gallon gas, that’s $60,000 in gas alone.

That's a pre 2018 Wing (had one) at best 42 mpg and more like 35mpg average if he spends time at 75 and above. The current gen is more like 50 mpg if you ride like grandpa other wise 45 is a fair average unless running above 80 mph, at that speed all with Wings drink fuel like a sailor on leave.

I purchased my 2013 with 8800 miles on it. I sold it to my son at 86,183 miles on it. It was still running good. Only problems I had was mechanical CCT and new clutch plates (previous owner was motocross rider, think he probably feathered clutch to much on AR trails) at 62K. Also, Steering Head bearings at 80K installed.

I've owned 3 new Goldwing's. A 1975, 2008 and 2014. I was lucky to get over 40 mpg on any of them. This being, single up or w/ passenger or trailer and staying under 75-80 mph.

Yes the costs add up when riding a lot of miles. One of a few reasons I went from the V-Strom to the Tenere was because of its shaft drive and its reliability. On the 437K mile Strom, I used 18 chains -mostly DID X-ring from Sprocket specialists at $100 each and I think a rear sprocket every ~25K and counter shaft sprocket every ~40-50K. So around 9 CS sprockets and 18 rear sprockets, that's easily around $3000 for the lifetime of the bike for chains and sprockets.
The Tenere gets the rear drive oil changed every 16,000 miles, so over 200,000 miles (on the 2014) its had 13 changes, so roughly 4 changes per a quart of oil, a qt is say $12, 4 qts total for a cost of $48. So double that rear drive maintenance cost (+2 extra changes)and that would be a little over $100 (S10) vs $3000 (Strom). YMMV
