Actually thinking about it lol. I have an ES I weigh 95kg geared up. So I am lucky to be in the zone spring wise. So even with the panniers and top box and other shite on im probably ok. May be that is why. I do agree with the side stand having a better sweep though.

We build our roads with camber to take the drainage so may be easier to find side stand friendly places.

Solution to the side stand issues?:

I emailed them and they are working on one for the Super Ténéré.

He should have called BMW corporate and explained his situation. Maybe they would have tried to accommodate him to some extent or maybe fully?

Yes may be but the issue if being in a groupe of riders doing long trips is to get things fixed quickly so I think this is how he handled it...beside it seems there is an issue of international warranty : you have to inform your dealer first and then pay the local dealer in the country where you got stuck and then claim à reimbursement or something....a headache to manage....this is why I do WORSHIP reliability....

I do find my SuperTenere is a little thirsty at the pumps. I'm looking at options for the windscreen, at 6'2" i find the wind buffeting a little much. I have a tall Madstrad on my Ulysses and have been a little spoiled with it's better wind protection. I'm going to try the Puig Clip-On Visor but I really think I need a Madstrad solution with the adjustments and extra support.
